Similar to Blue Bottle but with more choice in (cold pressed) juices and more space to sit/work. You may want to out-"intelligentsia" them though and avoid the $12 price tag on their juices !
This well-known coffee shop has become synonymous with high-quality coffee and carefully crafted beverages, and it remains the most reliable spot for a good, more often great, cup of coffee . Read more
excellent ambient!!! the concept of this coffee shop is different than our coffee shops in Europe. They are very much into the quality of the coffee they offer, and the service is equally good
Love that the interior looks like a coffee science lab. They specialize in hand-crafted pour over coffee , and have solid espresso drinks as well .
It strikes me how little has happened in the world of artisanal coffee over the last ten years This this place is still the (well deserved) gold standard, with some of the best pour overs known to man
This is by far the best coffee and atmosphere in LA. The baristas never rush, are clean and know exactly what they are doing. Perfect coffee every time.
Quite busy on a weekday but it's a nice atmosphere and great coffee ! The baristas are quick and great at handling the pace.
Immaculate vibes in this place! Amazing coffee shop with a large space to settle in for a while. It gets busy so I would recommend ordering ahead
Worlds away from the OG Chicago locations, this branch is an oasis of indoor/outdoor seating apropos to the general Abott Kinney vibe.
Fantastic coffee and espresso , chill vibes, outdoor seating with high quality pups
This is amazing! I really like the atmosphere, good coffee , and nice interior. This is the best place to study or chill with friends. Internet connection is very fast and is unlimited as well .
I came to this coffee shop to do some work online and found it to be a great environment with a good strong wifi connection . I really enjoyed during my stay there because I was so productive.
Yesterday, my sister and I went to this coffee shop to catch up sometime, and we just love the taste of their coffee . It was freshly brewed. We also love how the barista made our coffee .
I am a fan of cute coffee shops ,and this is definitely one of them! This place has a lot of big windows with natural lighting. There are several tables, which makes it great for those who need to study.
One of the coolest looking/feeling coffee shops around. The vibe's so chill that it doesn't even feel bothersome to wait on line .
One of the most beautiful cafes in the world. Incredible coffee as well . Bring your laptop and chillout inside or out.
Amazing coffee and wonderful atmosphere. Love the background music , people watching and having a fun chat with the people that work there.
L.A.'s most buzz-worthy java joint crafts espresso , cappuccino and macchiato for the hipster set. Coffee connoisseurs will geek out over the store's custom-made machinery and well-versed baristas.
There will likely be a line , but the coffee and service are worth the wait. Treat yourself to a treat with your coffee . Churro croissant for the win!!
Welcome to Mecca! If you're searching for coffee nirvana, you're finally found it. They make the best espresso based drinks that you can get anywhere.
This place is like the "mecca" for coffee shops ... Their coffee making process comes to another level, very professional and clean ! Intelligentsia is a must in LA.
You know night clubs ? This is a day club. Coffee is dependable as always. Architecture is crazy but may be too wild for work sometimes. Other times, no prob.
Beautiful space, perfect espressos and flat whites , relaxed atmosphere and free wifi :-). Will be back!
Deadly serious about perfect craft coffee , tea , and espresso . While the attitude may intimidate, it's worth hacking through the pretension, bc you'll realize they earned it.
My favorite in the chain. It's like an amphitheater set up where you get a personal barista. Always a necessary stop when in Venice.
Parking sucks here! You might have to huff it a few blocks but, it's def worth your time! Maybe, grab a bite to eat @ Gjelina, Casa Linda or Hal's first. Then, come chill on a brew & WiFi
It gets no better than this. From the playful architecture and design, to the sharply tailored and supremely knowledgeable baristas down to the very last drop of Black Cat - Intelli is a must do in LA
LOVE Intelligentsia Coffee . Always a fantastic choice when looking for a high quality coffee drink. Their cappuccinos are hard to beat.
A great place to wait in line to drop $5 on a cup of coffee , then show off your MacBook and various Apple products. Like right now, for instance - you're reading this tip on your iPhone! Go you!
They call a Cortado a Gibraltar here. Get it.
One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to. Knowledgeable staff , large enough space, and free wifi !
The chocolate in the mocha is rich and not too sweet. And the matcha latte is one of the best in town . But yes, this place is expensive AF.
You maybe able to find better roasted beans in LA, but they have the Best Barista for sure: their beans are roasted to the dark side, but always manage to pull out all the nuance in the beans.
Great coffee , great atmosphere and good wifi , the perfect place to stop by and work between 2 meetings!
nice baristas! all their espresso drinks are excellent. It gets crowded at times.
2pm: Hit the beach , an hour’s Metro bus ride from Downtown to Abbott Kinney Boulevard, at the heart of Venice’s artistic , offbeat and chic scene. Refuel at Intelligentsia Coffee .
Best coffee in LA. For NYers who know 9th street espresso level of coffee will be very pleased. Venice location is predictably cool. Staff dressed like Rosie the riveter and know how to make coffee .
I think this is the place where you'll find more Apple products and bearded hipsters than in any other places in Venice. Cool place if you are OK with it. Music too loud though.
Possibly my fave coffee/espresso in Los Angeles. It's hard to find coffee as good as Australia, but these guys come pretty close
I leave a second tip: it is definitely one of the best coffee I had. They make a great coffee every time.
The cookies and croissants . Get a large latte with extra shot! Free wifi too.
Finally a good tasted coffee after a long time! They do it in it's best way! Ambience is great. Love that!
The shorter, dark haired barista dude brews an awesome French Pressed Coffee . I recommend you find him out to help when you're in line ! ????☕????
Come charged. It seems all Intelligentsia shops go the extra mile to ensure there are no accessible power outlets . Great brew tho!
They have perfect baristas and ambience. Try special filter coffee and chocolate cake . Go early before it gets crowded .
Grab a latte (LA's finest) for 5 bucks and a seat to get some work done (u may need to brin headphones as it does get noisy at times). Park in the back for free and use the back door entrance.
Interesting set up for a cafe . When it opened, it was revolutionary. Solid espresso drinks , but their roast has been getting lighter in the last couple years (meaning a more sour cup).
Bring the gourmet-iest of gourmet coffees home with you by Stopping into Intelligentsia and picking up some organic Fair-Trade beans. Bring your KCRW Fringe Benefits Card to sweeten the deal!
The iced matcha latte and matcha croissant were very good. Nice place to hang out and think and work.

Loveeeeee it!!! Try the ice mocha in a hot summer day! The have their own coffee beans, too. Worth of trying with great price. - Fiofio
Super Cro Jo was delicious! It's a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Soy chai latte also yummy. No restroom so don't plan on staying here for a long time. - Carolyn Lu
The orange and lemon cakes are tooo gooood!!!! Coffee awesome of course. Very friendly staff at Abbott - Victoria Santoro
Crispy thin crust pizzas are great. Try the squash blossom if they have it. - Tarah Feinberg
