Nice, small park that has a playground , basketball and volleyball courts , soccer fields , and some picnic tables .
This is our favorite park to take the kids to. The playground is large, there are plenty of benches , and we can take them for a walk on the trails when they're done playing.
The playground is great for all ages. Bigger kids will enjoy the few large hill slides . Huge sandbox so don't forget the sand toys .
Great park to ride bike ,jog or even fish . Park trail will lead you into Ulmstead State Park where you can ride your mountain bike for some intermediate trails . Very beautiful in the fall!
Clean park with more then enough play area for kids. It also has an awesome rock wall .
Great park with tons of things to do. Very nice green ways and even a small rock wall .
From the bridge at the trail to the art museum on Blue Ridge is exactly 9 miles.
Park close to my office and house. Kids love to play here, and there are great trails that converge here (Weston Greenway and the Black Creek Greenway). Read more
Take the N. Cary Park trail to the entrance of Umstead State Park - awesome place to run with lots of challenging hills
Best volleyball courts !!
Bring bug spray. If you stay here longer than 10 minutes without it the mosquitoes will drink you dry.
Good place to take fall scenic photos.
Don't bother running until you get down to the actual trail (all roads from the shelter will lead to it). The incline is far too steep to run down.
Slides get hot on the swing set.
The bathrooms are heated!
Great park for kids of all ages.. Tire swing, sand box, 2 big playgrounds, and even a separate play area for the little ones. Plenty of benches and space for a picnic! - Brittany Buchwald
Loop is nice and wide great for kids to bike. Watch out for snakes though seems to be a favorite hang out for copperheads. - Dori Moffitt
Right now, August 2021, the park is under renovation, but the plans are great! It will be fabulous. The fountain is still accessible! - Jacquie Samples
