Tegallalang Rice Terraces is a scenic lookout Gianyar located in Indonesia.
Jl. Raya Tegalalang Gianyar Bali 80561 Indonesia
Amazing experience you'll have to pay donations around 5K twice if you want to go all the way to the top, watch your steps especially when descending.
Don't just stop at the cafe , I highly recommend you to cross the bridge and hike up the rice terrace . Don't forget to have small change available for "entry" fee!
You can enjoy views of the Rice Paddy Terraces at Cafe Dewi (just past the main strip) without being bothered by street vendors.
Beautiful scenic view , many cafes and shops along the road . Don't miss the local garden , where they grow and brew their own coffee (kopi luwak, too), and have plenty of fruit , vegetables , and spices.
Not many people, beautiful just to wonder and see the different stages of growth and learn about harvesting. Beautiful scenery !
I like rice , as long as they let me put my own stuff on it. You can bring me white rice or brown rice ; just let me doctor it up. Its a WOW view at here. Love it!
Giant swings , coffee tasting, and the panoramic view of the rice paddies can be the most common activity in this side of Bali. Despite the influx of tourists , the experience is still unique to many.
Beautiful view on rice terraces from the top. Ticket - 10k. But when we went to see the view - no one was checking! You can just stop at any cafe/shop and see all the beauty.
This area is famous for its beautiful rice terraces that use the traditional Balinese irrigation system, which tradition says was passed down by a revered holy man in the eighth century.
A must to see in Bali. Entrance is free, but you should donate for the temple . We paid 20000rph. There is also a swing there where you can use without waiting alot
Must visit when in Bali.. couldn’t try the swing as queue was long ????they also have dress for rent for swing pics..one will have lot of options for good pics.could be slippery walking down the tracks
Went for a rice field trekking. It's not free to trek here, a few gate to pass and we must donate to a few farmers to let us pass over. However, it's worth it to trek here ????
“Donations ” on top of the “ticket” strongly encouraged to go to the higher levels, but they won’t stop you if you walk through and keep walking
Beautiful place, but not sure if you really have to pay for a ticket (10.000IDR), make sure to bring bills for “donations ” for the bridges etc., can be crowded
Get yourself a scooter and ride it here,!plenty of parking , plenty of cafes with great views , good food. Wear trekking sandals, the rice field pathways are steep and slippery in some places.
Great views and an iconic part of Ubud. These rice paddies are layered down a mountain side and give you access into them for exploration. Reccommed highly just for the view .
Thanks for giving the tips that the farmer will ask for 'donations ' if they were ask for pictures taken. I laugh at some tourists were being bluffed at; 'fake farmer' indeed. Say cheese ! ;-)
Beautiful scenery , I can recommend the Pagi Terrace where they have this good fish dish rolled in lemon grass sticks. (wear flip flops in the rain season as there is a lot of mud).
U can fall down the load and needs donation gate before climb up the rice hills , 10,000IDR per person... it is donation but people insists 10,000IDR....
It is extremely touristy . An amusement park in the rice fields . Couple swings , zip lining , and more (which you need to pay for). There are plenty of free photo ops such as floating treehouses.
Wonderful but although you pay for entrance ticket you bump into people wanting donation
A most gorgeous look at the rice paddies and creative irrigation system. Take a hike through it to see the layers close up
Ah, heavenly. But totally worth the trek. Lots to walk. Avoid giving 'donations '. Negotiate hard with the coconut vendors. Must have lunch at 'Teras Padi ' or 'Cascades'.
they will collect 10k per pax for visiting the rice terrace .. but noone actually check it when u reach there. Further, this is a common road to other places as well . Can we dont pay next time???
Amazing rice terraces ever green. One of the most recognizable image of Bali, a must see
Very popular for tourists even though it is not the best rice terrace of Bali.
What a view ! Amazing rice terraces . Don't miss to take postcards pictures. A must see in Bali !
Beautiful scenery , quiet and chilled, everyone is really friendly and says "hello". Perfect contrast to hectic Ubud!
The road is very narrow and always get traffic jam . I had better come early morning. U need pay 10,000IDR for enter.
Amazing and beautiful padi terrace .... This is one of a must visit place if you come to Bali ????????
Wonderful! Beautiful, peaceful , definitely worth visiting but don’t forget the mosquitoes repellent.
Nice view . Watch out you have to pay for crossing the bridge . It is worth it anyway
Beautiful views and fun trekking up and down, but be prepared to be asked for "donations " frequently. Bring your small money.
Awesome views , great experience. Highly recommended
Bali Disneyland. 10krp entry then you are harassed every 100m for a 'donation ' with many refusing entry without payment. The whole has place become a money vacuum. What a shame. Used to be beautiful.
Amazing view of the terraces . Can chill , have a drink or lunch . Reasonable price.
A must do, great atmosphere, view and shopping.,
Nice view of the rice terraces , gets very crowded just like every other touristic spot in bali.
Enjoy the view on the rice paddies peacefully at Café Dewi : here you won't be asked money to take a photo.
Awesome view of rice fields , not many tourists , photogenic, not far from Ubud, can be found quite easily.
Absolutely beautiful. Must see in Bali.
Would be a great spot without the instgrammers posing on swings and everything else they can find.
Nice adventure. It is unforgettable experience to walk around Rice Terraces in Ubud.
Good place to hangout super cool scenery
Try to avoid the guys in the terraces who offer you to take a photo of them – they want money. Also there's no need to pay for the maintenance of the terraces or wells to pass. You've already paid.
You can take unforgettable photos in Bali here :)
Great place to visit. We enjoy also in rice terrace ????
Its one of the iconic place in ubud area. Most photograph as well
Eat at Dewi's Cafe ! If you take photos of the farmers, they will expect money.
Be aware that there are a lot of checkpoints during your walk here that demand you to pay 10K to go further
Last stop for today - Rhoi Regino
I left my breakfast on the rice terrace during the swing. - CK Ng
Very magical forest , and the monkeys are funny ???? , the shops near the forest are very nice , you must visit this place . They close at 6:30 or 7 pm - Dr.Reham Gary
Great view of rice terasering. Good experience of luwak coffe process. Got 12 cup tester from lemon tea to pure coffee bali. Must visit for coffe lovers. - Dyah Darsono
