For the 5th consecutive time, the GOP convention was held at the Coliseum June 8-12, 1920. At the 17th Republican presidential nominating convention , Warren G. Harding was selected as the nominee.

The 15th GOP convention took place at the Chicago Coliseum June 18-22, 1912. Incumbent President William Howard Taft won the nomination after being challenged by former President, Theodore Roosevelt.

The 16th GOP convention was also held at the Coliseum in 1916. The Republicans nominated Supreme Court Justice Charles Evans Hughes, the first Supreme court Justice to be nominated for the presidency.

Great place for kids- mini houses and play trains are everywhere! And not a bad place for dogs either.
