This little hidden gem took us back to NYC ❤️ the food was delicious and the staff were super friendly . Loved it and will definitely be back!!

T S

The Philly cheese steak sub special was delicious, as was the side salad , pickle , and pretzel . The service is super friendly ! Ah, gluten free bread option available.

Megumi

The Reuben Sandwich was juicy, delicious, and very filling. Coffee wasn't bad, but have had better at other places.

Sarah Lim

As a New Yorker, I can vouch that this place is like the Mile End Deli of Melbourne. Eat all the things. ????

Eric Tash

A NY feel in the heart of Melbourne. NY staples with an Aussie twist. Doesn't hurt that they play tribe and de la soul on repeat.

Alexandra Lagerwey

Had an intense love affair with my Reuben sandwich . Russian dressing so delicious. And the pickle and the pretzels . Love love love.

S

Everyone feels so passionately about the Reuben sandwich and we finally knew why. Also, the peanut butter chocolate is great.

Tom G

Backstreet sandwich and bagel café . Reasonably cheap , around $10-14 for a large portion . Friendly service .

Julie Edgley

Packed even during Christmas week but the service was efficient! The Reuben is definitely worth trying and make sure you have cash as they don't take cards.

Alastair

The Reuben (good for 2, tbh) is excellent - the real McCoy - as is the mac'n'cheese. Great coffee and lovely staff . Gluten free sandwiches are 1/2 sized, but just as yummy according to my other half!

delleacious

Double smoked pork belly with coriander slaw on a brioche , yum! Reuben is popular but I like the pork belly way more. The mac & cheese were great, same as pumpkin chocolate brownie yum!

Sandi Sieger

A little slice of New York in Melbourne. Super quick service . Tasty food. Good coffee . Impressed.

Sophie T

This place is awesome. Americana without being sickly. Will be back to try the rest of the menu

Jesse Gleeson

Ruben almost as good as Katz. A revelation for Melbourne. Chef Jesse a great guy too.

Joseph V

This place is absolutely incredible for good American food , NYC style (think bagels , Rubens , pastrami ).

Benson Low

One of the best sandwiches in town . Padre coffee is exception as always.

Mogli Oak

Delicious and massive Rueben Sandwich !!! Can't wait till my next visit.

Tim Lucas

Pretty damn good daily sandwich specials, with a side of pretzels and mac & cheese .

Max Hegerman

God bless America. ???? The Pecan and Maple Pie is better than homemade . Sorry, mama...

Cian Mac Mahon

Absolutely huge sandwiches , but delicious!

Rhonda McLellan

Good service but too many good places in town to return. The Reuben was far too messy for me and sauce soaked into the bread which I don’t enjoy.

Tim H

Free Reese's with take-away coffee ! Coffee itself is excellent too.

Claire Taylor

The chicken and waffles are the best!

Tomfoolery

Neat little place almost hidden on Oliver Ln with arguably the best sandwiches in Melbourne (yes as others have stated , the Reuben is extraordinary). Gluten-free bread pretty good too!

Mat

Eat the rueben or forever feel a lack of love in your life

Kari Nicholas

The cubano sandwich is STUNNING HOW DO THEY MAKE THIS BREAD ???

Egor Kloos

First thing on the menu. Reuben .

Valerio Veo

Don't order the espresso coffee soda . I love coffee but this is just weird!

Ben Hickey

Great bagels

Sonja

Amazing gluten free sandwiches

Sean Robertson

Good but not great. Cubano was better than the Rueben .

Ali Cotter

Great hidden gem in the CBD, good for a quick lunch break. Turkey club is delicious. Don't miss this place

Macoy

Very nice chill place

Stephen Brammer

Great coffee :)

Cbngal

Peanut butter brownie

Steve Portigal

Now takes credit card but not Amex

Stefan Buchman

Rueben Sandwich

Liam P.

They appear to have EFTPOS now.

Scott R

Alright food, but everything else is unorganised chaos.

Nevena Mulyachka

Great breakfast and coffee ! The Good morning Cubano sandwich on challah bread is to die for ????

Georg Bobbert

Reuben is outstanding.. Can't fault this place.. Coffee and staff are great as well .

Ekaterina Chuprunova

My bagel was alright but hard to cut and way too expensive for what it is

Tim B

The sandwiches are great as everyone says, but I'd add that the staff are equally good! Very accommodating, friendly , and efficient

Linsey Yew

Reuben sandwich was way too salty, couldn't finish eating it

Kevin Kwong

Rubén with a side of mac and cheese is to die for

effagee

If you want a takeaway coffee and you are in a hurry don't bother. Slow and disorganised.

Chele

Breakfast was a let down. $17 and a small serve of bacon was ridiculous.

Marianne N

My Italian sausage shakshouka was delicious and very filling

Steve Androulakis

Greatest Reuben I've had. Perhaps even better than Katz NYC
