A great green place in the middle of the concrete SoMa jungle. The area above the waterfalls is super peaceful . I like the group of people playing chess on the east edge.
The easy access to shopping in the Metreon to maybe pick up treats for your picnic . I like it to help me relax after a movie or for a quick break from a conference around the corner in Moscone.
Discover Filipino cuisine every 2nd week of August for the Pistahan Festival , a fantastic celebration of Filipino culture and cuisine. Featuring world-class entertainment and dozens of food vendors.
Live music on nice days when you can hold a picnic are cool. Soaking in the park can take your breath away. Parties here blow this native's mind & reminds me to fest prep for next month's celebration.

Pleasant little park in the heart of SoMa and a few steps away from Market Street. Shame it's so shabby and host to so many homeless.
Take a child, walking age to ~7, to the top and let them play at the playground . It's open and sunny. If it's sunny, of course. It is San Francisco. Nearby also a carousel, it can't be beat! Read more
On a clear day, the evening light in this area is beautiful. And amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy city , this is the best place in downtown to relax and experience (some) nature.
Beautiful garden . Make sure to check out MLK fountain .
A treasure in the middle of SOMA and just 2 blocks from TheBoxSF.com which is the most unique store in San Francisco! Double Score!
good view of the people who are seeming to populate the area in front of the Jewish Museum . interesting to see the once quiet and vacant architecturally remastered space with humans.
Behind the waterfall are the inscriptions of some of MLK Jr's speeches, while just above the waterfall is a great vista of the SFMOMA and part of SF's downtown skyline.
Like a little valley of sweeping downtown views . Good for a picnics , or just passing through on foot.
Explore the gardens , which have a variety of great photo opportunities . Try going to the top, above the waterfall . If you’re good, you might be able to capture the reflection of the city in the water.
This guy! He and other public pieces are on display at the Yerba Buena Gardens outdoor park between the Yerba Buena Center and the Metreon.
Free wifi in the Metreon dining area. Sit on the terrace or by the windows for a view of Yerba Buena Gardens and a more bustling city vibe.
Lots of events and festivals here throughout the year. One of the few green spaces in downtown SF.
It’s techbro central M-F. But bring your earbuds and enjoy the summer sun ☀️
Surprisingly serene spot in the middle of downtown . I love the sculptures , the slides , and the carousel.
Great quiet nook park in SoMa with easy Metreon & Westfield access. Sit by the wall fountain fixtures on a hot day
Great place to relax , have a drink and soak in the sun while still close to everything.

Possibly the best park in San Francisco: great views , inspirational quotes, and a playground with slides !
Nice place to come and enjoy lunch and get away from the traffic and crowds on a nice day.
Take photos of St. Patrick Catholic Church , walk behind the waterfall . Grab a tea at Samovar Tea Lounge or watch a movie at the Metreon before/after.
Lovely "park " in the middle of downtown . Right next to the metreon. Samovar has a nice view .
It's always refreshing to walk behind the waterfalls , especially when you need to erase the city sounds for a few minutes and just Zen out.
Great to come and relax a little, but not so great for families; you'll find 1 or 2 people smoking crack or pot.

Love the waterfall . Park is now completely open again after having been renovated this spring.
Great place to eat lunch , read a book , people watch , and relax!
Kind of hidden, but a great city oasis!
Nice spot to relax and enjoy lunch especially on bright sunny days
Nice place to sit and people watch for lunch or after a long day.
One park . Two personalities. During the day, take a relaxing hike to the top of for great views of the city . At night most people go looking for anonymous gay sex. So whatever your bag is, enjoy!
