Departing train info clogs traffic in the upstairs holding area. Do what the pros do (wink) and find the CPU screens on the middle floor. Beats rush, no ticket checkpoint, be steps from track doors.
It's always filthy in here and the seats are full of crumbs and gunk, but if you need to sit or charge your electronic device, you can. There's a screen to let you know where and when to board.
This had to be the warmest place on the planet!!! I had to take off my coat to cool down. Just crazy hot 80'.Other than that the free wifi was nice.also fix your outlets it's 2013 wall juice is a must
Look, your train may not always be moving forward, but Amtrak surely is a comfortable way to travel through the northeastern corridor.
The classical music is a welcomed touch and creates a sanctuary from the mayhem
Be sure to ask attendants and officials on site about train info instead of just relying on the monitor as it often can be tough to read
Not many places to sit in Penn Station outside of restaurants . Basic seating area.
If you travel like I do (bags upon bags) have a red cap escort you! Much easier to deal with!
Section of waiting area with laptop seating and outlets is closed for late night travelers. Is it really that difficult to keep a few extra feet open to your customers?
You will see mice at night.
Out here, you are screwed if you don't have any means of keeping yourself entertained with a book or a gadget
Quiet place to charge your phone and wait for your train .
Ask for Red Cap service & tip them a few bucks. So worth it!
This place is actually within walkable distance from Port Authority Bus Terminal. About 5 or 6 blocks.
Buy your water and snacks outside at the duane reade. You'll save lots of money.
Be courteous to passengers with bags and other luggage. Most of them are not tourists , but locals who are returning from a trip.
Just pack your common sense. Don't be an ass and don't be slow. Locals got to go places as well !
Bring a drink and a snack from home before you get here. Way to expensive ! 3 bucks for a Vitamin Water!
Comfortable while waiting on your train
Electricity and WiFi ... Good place to sit while waiting.
Truly a horrid place.
People watching is hit or miss but unhealthy dining options are plentiful
Bring your own snacks
ID required for evening trains . Probably a good move. Wish they had a lounge bathroom because the main one is gross.
Not very comfortable seats if you have a long wait .
See the tree . It is beautiful!
Free WiFi in waiting and on board trains !
How about fixing the plugs
The waiting is the hardest part.
Crowded but at least cleaner than LIRR
Hot as hell.
Mto cheio.... Paciência!
For a cheap yet good bagel or snack try seattle's best coffee located next to perfumania - Sally Hassan
Awesome musical chime installation. It works, play with it! - Sherri Feldman
Amazing structure that opened late 2020/early 2021. Phenomenal space to walk through. - Tariq Ahmad
It's relatively empty during off-peak hours so it's a great place to power up devices (they have chargers) and get some work done -- if you have a ticket. - Matthew Caldecutt
The team here is super nice and welcoming. Great place to relax before your train. Alcohol isn’t included but still worth it. Make sure to tip well! - Roy Chin
The Atrium is where the Front Desk is located. One would assume that this floor would be busy, busy, busy. However it is a pleasant surprise to view the awesome Fountains and Fresh Floral arrangements. - K. William Hickey
