A small bakery café with a certain European charm. Friendly service , delicious French toast prepared with an almond brioche . Wish I had space left in my belly to try the beautiful pastries .
Great on the weekends for brunch – their French Toast is sensational, as are each of their egg dishes . If you want to take away , however, order a croissant (the almond croissants are one of a kind) Read more
Little French patisserie La Bergamote makes one of my favorite croissants in the city , and its smaller incarnation is just as good—the right balance of crispy shell to tender interior.
Believe the tips... the almond croissants are amazing. I think I've left tips in other cities about almond croissants ... but these are among the best I've had.
Sit at the window counter. Good people watching .
Perfect Sunday: grab a ham & cheese croissant (ask the staff to heat it up) and a cafe au lait to go and take a stroll through Chelsea.
A longtime West Chelsea mainstay. Check out the ancient espresso machine. If you want to venture beyond their great croissants , they have a super-rich almond brioche toast , and a nice coffee eclair .
Hallmarks of a good ‘Parisian’ cafe . A wide selection of desserts . There’s a sponge cake like with a pistachio cream filling that hits the spot!
I live in paris and have yet to see an authentic croissant sandwich . And if you order the moule mariniere as is marked on the menu, you'll need to translate for the waitress that they're mussels .
We ordered 8 different miniature pastries for a dessert-tasting. The “Trois Chocolat ” and the Pistachio-Nuts cakes were the winners.
All the egg dishes are delicious. The pancakes were way better than I thought they'd be 😋 a nice, not too crowded spot in Chelsea
La Bergamote's fruit tarts are my favorite. The crust is perfectly nutty and buttery, and plays off nicely against sweet and tangy fresh fruits .
I've never had more authentic and delicious French pastry in NYC. La Bergamotte est manifique!
The Croque Madame leads with the excellent homemade brioche . It's relatively light and comes with mixed greens.
Amazing perfectly crispy almond croissant ! Bit too sweet but still good. Share w a friend :)
Great croissants in a pretty cafe and delicious sweets.
Nice variety of pastries and desserts (ask to warm them up a bit). I did take out , but they have a full menu.
Pastries , nice salad and food options. I have tried a roast duck - it was pretty good.
An amazing piece of Paris transported to Chelsea. Our concierge at 6 Columbus says that though it's not on the menu , if you ask they will make you amazing hot chocolate .
The French pastries are the 'French' worthy. Loved the almond croissant with cream.
Everything looks delicious, but the fruit/tarté is the best option, believe me!!
Great country pate sandwich ! Everything I had here is Great!🎈🎈🎈
Nice brunch spot with excellent French pastries !
anything with brioche on the menu is the way to go.
In addition to all the tasty bakeries , they have lots of pre-made cold cuts/sandwiches to go. Makes for quick lunch/snack/picnic solution.
The eggs baltic were one of the best ive had in the city ! And they dont douse it with sauce which is great
The mussels however were delicious. So was the rosé .
Take a trip to Paris. Try their croissant with ham and cheese . True French style .
The blueberry croissant-twist is light, fluffy and invitingly sweet.
Try: Almond Broiche, ham and cheese croissant , duck pate sandwich , chocolate croissant ... Great little cafe .
The Napoleons are fantastic!
The pain de chocolat is pretty good the quiche with leek is quite forgettable..
Try the Magellan dessert ! Chocolate mousse with gingerbread encased in chic dark chocolate ... How can you go wrong!!!
The Country Pâté Sandwich is amazing.
Try the Croque Madame with Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice .
Almond french toast . One of the most amazing things you'll ever eat.
Almond croissant . Some things are just better. This is one.
Amazing French pastries , music , and staff . Great place for a coffee date!
+1 for the real French pastries . And the croque-madame.
The hot chocolate here is so good! Try the almond croissants as well :)
pates de fruits aren't prepackaged and staff won't place them in gift boxes for you.
Their pastry selection is incredible.
Try the Chocolate Croissant - Little bit heavier before dinner . :( / 夕飯前にはチト重いかったかな・・・
We had Opera with Earl grey
Grilled salmon is outstanding
The best tiramisu ever!!! Love this place.
The french toast here is amazing.
Everything
Almond croissants are to die for. Have One!
I'm a big fan of the spicy chicken sandwich here.
I got the champagne salad, the tuna melt, and an Arnold Palmer. Sooo tasty! - Sam Brewer
Pistachio latte was very smooth - James L
Worth it. Pleasant walk. Can also take a book and spend time there reading, people watching. - Elsa Pollard
Love this place. It's a little rabbit warren of eateries. Very packed on a Saturday afternoon, but a great atmosphere. Watch out for all the lobster munching, it's carnage - John Barnham
The pumpkin & cream cheese cupcake is delicious! The flavor combination is decadent! - Tonya Marie
