High Line

A great park . Start at the southern tip and walk the full way north past Hudson Yards. The new northern expansion is my favorite part — quieter , more natural. Gives you a new perspective on the city .

You can walk from 14th to 34th and not realize you walked all the way to midtown. Love that there's so many benches and places to sit so you can just chill out , look at art and think.

Very unique and clever use of urban landscape. Always a good time to come and enjoy some of the street art below. Use the sun chairs to grab some sun during warm days.

Walk the whole thing (sunset = best). If its night time, look for the exhibitionists Doing Their Thing in the windows of the Standard Hotel . Sit in sunken mini-theater (you'll know it when you see it)

New section of the High Line is open now at 30th St. Go enjoy the lovely weather with concrete planks, plants, and a killer view of Jersey. There will be seesaw for kids, and picnic tables . Sun, 9/21. Read more

(Good luck) go(ing) when it's not crowded , as the contrast with the aves below will be even more stark. Different views , installations, and no traffic lights make it the best way to walk the west side

Go for a walk midday during the week when it's less crowded . Great voyeur opportunities into the fancy pants apartments along the highline as well 😏👀

NYC's elevated freight railway turned urban park .The 1.45 mile long strip is a pleasant walk surrounded by plants and artworks. It has a great view of the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan

It is always a great time to enjoy the HighLine. Just look at this view . Make a stop at Chelsea Market or some other restaurants along the way. You’ve earned it after making your way back & forth.

Good for a walk! It’s connected to the vessel/Hudson yards area :) you can walk to little island from here too!

Love the High Line! A beautiful resurrected urban garden above the city perfect for an evening stroll. Can get crowded with tourists taking pictures.

Wow! So worth the visit! The landscaping, design and concept of this park is incredible! It's a "recycled " train track turned park . You get a great view of the city and get to see great architecture .

A walk is a deep dive on the modern architecture surrounding the old train tracks . Close to the Chelsea Market , there is also a structure built to welcome Titanic that remains to this date.

It’s a nice walk between buildings almost like an above ground park . Enjoy the walk 🏙🌳

Given the chance to grow, the landscaping here has flourished and matured beautifully, much better than when it first opened. Now a much appreciated green corridor on the west side of lower Manhattan.

Most beautiful spot in NYC. Even better, it’s accessible! Walked end to end & back again. Zero issues navigating it w/my son’s wheelchair, even to street. Easier than walking w/chair in the streets.

Another must visit place in NYC 😍 .. a historical train railway transferred to a walking line with awesome architecture and plants art ,it goes through ancient places in NYC and near Chelsea Market 😍

Delightful urban walk. Lots of seating spaces with fun views to enjoy coffee , lunch or take a selfie. Old tracks incorporated into garden and walkways. Head to the north end for Hudson views

Unique park with some cool views and art pieces. Go early to avoid the crowds (but bring your coffee because the shops aren’t open very early). There are elevators if you can’t take the stairs.

Walk from start all the way to the end. Been here many times and still get amazed by how cool of idea it was to convert railway to park . Tasteful execution. Many romantic pockets ;)

Loved walking on the High Line - super scenic view of New York City . Beautiful green trees and exotic flowers . Go early in the morning if you want to avoid massive crowds and get good photos

A long highline compared to the ones I’ve known. Lot’s of work around it so I think there still more to come. Nice way to see surroundings. Probably best visit on sunny day rather than winter or rainy

Make sure to see the other sculptures also made by Full house artist (pictured) at the Whitney that's down at the end of the highline (meatpacking district area) it's $25 but has free day(s)

No matter how packed it gets, it’s still an oasis in the NYC urban jungle. Great public art , amazing blend of garden zen aesthetics and modern wood architecture . The Green Apple lives here!

Any NYC tourist shall come to this place. It’s a park that has been built over the remaining of an old railroad. The walk in it takes you to see amazing street art and architecture .

Wonderful scenic views with manicured gardens . Come in the summertime when they have food stalls offering artesianal creations. There are street performers playing throughout.

Built in the 30s, this was an active railway until 1980. "Friends of the High Line" formed in 1999 with the idea of turning it into an elevated park similar to the Promenade Plantée in Paris.

Compulsory for tourists and locals, the High Line offers something different in all seasons with its scenic views , eye catching art , manicured gardens , and smattering of markets .

Quiet and chilling in winter with not a lot of people. But will definitely come back in spring/summer
