Jeff Koons was great and what really made it was the public tour my friend and I globbed onto. Very informative and gave context that helped inform the whole exhibit . Also, great selfie opportunities.

Incredible collection in a huge new space. Start on the top floor and work your way down to more recent decades. Use the outdoor staircases for beautiful views along the way.

I would advise to begin your your from the top to bottom. They are open late so don't worry about getting there early in the day. Go in a little bit later to enjoy the dawn.

Very amusing, not everyone’s cup of tea but you’ll sure enjoy the visit. Perfectly rotated and gathers a great collection. Outdoor seating area is beautiful so check it out.

The Whitney Museum is a true sensory indoor-outdoor experience, so make sure to visit the outdoor terraces on the upper floors of the building, you will have a spectacular panoramic view of the city .

Post-covid there's far less tourists here which is amazing. Finally enough space to walk around and appreciate the art

A wonder both inside and outdoor. Make sure to go all the way through the 8th floor. A nice cafe/bar and city/hudson river views await at the top. Save enough time for the shop before closing time!

Amazing views from the top. The kids loved the art inside so long as we let them set the pace. It's a Summer 2015 Blue Star Museum .

I would spend at most a couple of hours here. Relatively small collection. But the rooftop on the 8th floor at dusk is spectacular and recommended just for the views of One WTC and Empire State .

A good mix of rotating exhibitions and permanent(ish) collection. Every time I’ve come there’s been a delightful, lesser-known artist to discover alongside the heavyweights.

This place is the best art museum right now! It's very trendy and its the new thing! The art is very modern and "in"... you have to go here before any other musem! It is truly a legend, a must see!

The pieces in this museum make you think. Unlike some other modern art museums which aren't as thought provoking. Free on Friday nights. Low key some of the best views of NYC

Everything about this space is beautiful and the exhibits are incredible. Must get a glass of rosé and sit outside on the balcony of the café . The views are gorgeous!

I honestly enjoyed the architecture more than the collection. The views of the city are stunning and there is a ton of outdoor seating for visitors to relax and take it all in!

Come for the art , stay for the patios and the Highline views and the Danny Meyer cafes .

Beautiful museum , with decks above the High Line and a big selection of modern and comtemporary American art . Take the audio guide, it may help with the more conceptual pieces.

This museum is a masterpiece. From scenic views in the stairwells and the balconies to the striking modern architecture by Piano the new Whitney is perfectly fit to present Americas history thru art

New building! New attitude! Yummy food at upper level cafe . Recommend: take the middle lift car up to 5 and as the doors open, look across gallery at a classic piece that says: New York City .

Architecture alone is worth a visit. Great retrospectives of modern artists such as Calder and Warhol. Very crowded on the weekends.

Great art , with a post-drinks and location that is a real treat. Combined with a morning in the High Line , makes for a great weekend out.

Lovely. Try the cafe on the roof. I had a toast and draught beer . After your tour buy an ice cream and seat on the green chairs outside the museum

What a new location for the Whitney! 100% recommend a Saturday night well spent, whilst enjoying the view and some amazing American art .

Find the restrooms on floor 6. They’re behind a door with no handle built into the gallery wall. On your left will be a door to a staircase. Enter it and watch the sun set.

Free admission . Cool building watch your head in the stairwells very low ceilings ... enjoy it before it moves to their new location in the meatpacking district

The Whitney Museum houses 20th-century and contemporary American art , with a focus on works by living artists . Its signature exhibition , the Biennial , focuses on developments in American art .

Gorgeous space. Eat on the top floor cafe overlooking the city -- much better views than the restaurant downstairs.

The smaller exhibits here create a less overwhelming museum experience. And when you need refreshing, have a burger in the basement at Danny Meyer’s new restaurant Untitled.

Came for the Warhol exhibit and loved the layout of the museum , as well as the experience.

Outdoor Terrace on 8th floor has great view . Step outside, take some fresh air . Enjoy!

Free admission for L’Oreal employees. Beside the high line . Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the area
