Dadong, culinary genius from Beijing. Best roast duck in shanghai for sure! Dishes are beautifully presented (each dish depicts a poem) and are absolutely delicious. Slightly pricey but well worth it
The shrimp with mayonnaise is awesome. They use really fresh and pretty large shrimp , which is unusual for this kind of dish.
Located on 6th floor. Arrived at 5pm on a Monday and had a 50 min wait. They accepted my North American issued MasterCard. Duck was delicious but way too much food for one person. Carved at the table.
Great service. They helped me understand how to properly eat roast duck after they asked if it was my first time. Green apple Da Dong cocktail was pretty damn good too.
The spicy beef really surprised me, very tender and flavorful, with a spicy-ness even the most sensitive eater can tolerate.
Limited tables available for reservation but it's worth the wait. Beijing duck to be eaten while it's hot! Also you can have a soup made from the leftover bones.
The pine nut (inside out) fish was okay, but if you really like this dish you’re better off with a Zhejiang or Jiangsu restaurant where it’s even better.
The best Beijing Duck in Shanghai & good value to boot.
The simple Beijing dishes like 炸酱面 and 饺子 is really good.
Total bill for roast duck , side toppings, stir fried cabbage and cocktail was 400+ yuan. Roast duck alone: ~280.
Don’t even bother getting the Duck unless you get a bottle of Maotai. Without it, it’s only half a meal.
duck skin with a little sugar is damn good
Why the duck don't more restaurants give free boxed wine while you wait?

Great and caring customer service, very impressed! - Ellen Petit
Expensive but wide selection, clean, modern and friendly staff. Sandwiches are delicious and somehow one of the few things that are reasonably priced. - Monica C
A new cinema which I adore. Reminds me of the cinemas back in Australia and Singapore. My new favorite. - Andi Law
Duck, seafood soup, beef, seafood, black bean noodles (zha jiang mian) are all terrific - Richard Chen
Duck Salad, Smoked Chicken, Dim Sum, Sweet & Sour Pork, Lemongrass Parfa - my recommendation - GG
The dim sum experience here is as good as it gets in shanghai. Great ambience. Could get busy at times. But their flour rolls and spring rolls and their cooked seafood and meat dishes are great too - Mark Cho
