I have been looking for a Thai restaurant *this* good in the East Bay for a long time. I finally found it. Both the gai yang and the prof king were so goddamned flavorful. What a rush.
this is my favorite thai restaurant in oakland, easily. everything i have had is DELICIOUS. the pad see ew and pad thai , the kao soo laos, all of it. it is fabulous.
The Pad Kee Mao and special pork leg stew are delicious. Be careful if you order anything spicy , it is Thai hot here. The sweet sticky rice and mango is a fun dessert treat.
The pad kee mao was exceptional! Beef perfectly cooked and no grease on the bottom of the plate. My new favorite Thai lunch in the Bay area (within the price range)
Kao Poon . Must have. Transcendent coconut broth, perfectly cooked chicken and delicious noodles . I couldn't get enough.
The portions for everything are huge! Definitely get the special pork leg stew .
Yay good khao soi and delicious drunken noodles . Also love that they have Thai chili pepper on the side
Everything is fresh, delicious, and authentic . Try the pad kee mao . The flavor is amazing!
unsurprisingly, the noodles here are the highlight. their pad see ew is the best i've had anywhere. the real stars are the noodle soups : five-spice duck , pork leg stew , or beef curry are my favorites. Read more
Service here has improved since the last time. Order the chan pan poo or kay soy laos ! Delicious!

The Kao Soy Laos noodle soup with chicken was frikin amazing delicious.
On my quest for Chiang Mai style Kao Soi, Chai Thai gets 5 elephants. The 2 headed kind of elephants.
Kao poon and the green and pumpkin curries are bomb
Papaya Salad Laos Style and Fried Banana w/ Ice cream are the best!
Kao poon was a score - massive bowl of delicious soup for like 10 bucks.
Fish cakes are awesome, as well as the curries . Be warned, “Mild” is very spicy . – Jackie, Advertising Production Specialist
Khao soi here is nommy!
The Kow Soy Thai is fantastic!
#87 pork with Ginger and Thai eggplant . #48 chicken curry soup with egg noodle .
It's simply very solid Thai food . Service seems a bit hit-or-miss, but the food is worth any minor frustrations.
as of May 2017, closed on Tuesdays!
Rice dishes not so great. Will try the soups or noodles next time.
They have good wine & beer . Easy to pay.
