"The Italian ices at Pizzeria Delfina are so good, and they come in three flavors: chocolate , lemon and cherry . My favorite one is chocolate . Plus, they're made in-house." Chef Joe Magnanelli Read more
Great date spot with fantastic pizzas . You can try to share, but you might as well order one for each person, they are THAT good. Great wine selection as well . Be prepared to wait.
Fresh ingredients and thin blistered crust since the dawn of time (the late '90s). Try for the sidewalk seating and a classic margherita pizza or the fennel sausage : it's the stuff of Mission legend. Read more
Friendly service , also very attentive and helpful. The Lardo pizza was delicious! Only complaint was that the servings were a bit small for how expensive it is.
Excellent thin crust pizza here. Decent beer selection , with a couple of local options. Arancini appetizer was also delicious, but request a side of marinara to go with it. Much better that way.
Get the Prosciutto pie , the pizzas are surprisingly light so you wont leave feeling stuffed. Remember to write your name and party size on the blackboard when you arrive so you can be seated.
It may sound simple but the 4 cheese , with added house pepperoni , is just too damn good. Perfectly crispy crust with a nice bit of char here and there on the edges.
Best pizza in San Francisco. Thin crust , fresh ingredients , superb mozzarella . The margherita is a sure bet, but the toppings and special pizzas are also delicious. You will want to come back!
A Sicilian specialty, granita is a staple of Delfina's dessert menu , and it makes a wonderful end to any meal at this next-door sister restaurant to the Mission's Pizzeria Delfina Read more
If you are on the east/south end of the city like the Mission, Noe, or Bernal definitely order pick up directly! You'll get a nice hot pie. Doordash orders come from Cow Hollow and often get cold.
The space is tight and the place is busy, but for good reason that renders it worth the squeeze, wait, and cost. A strong selection of good music , pizza , and specials - this place is great for dates.
I love this place. Dough is crisp and thin, strong awesome flavors. Huge fan of the Napoletaba which has strong, interesting salty flavors and no cheese . Delicious.
EXCELLENT thin crust pizza and appetizers . No reservations so put your name in and wander the mission. If they have the roasted cauliflower appetizer , get it and prepare to drool.
Even though the place isn't too big, they have delicious pizzas . I got a margherita and added prosciutto - a great choice! The ingredients were very fresh, loved the mozzarella cheese !
We made it here shortly before closing time on a Saturday night and were somehow taken directly to a table. Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. We will definitely be returning.
Best authenticity Italian pizza I've ever had outside of Italy. Meaning, you'll be disappointed if looking for a thick doughy crusted, piled high with ingredients, drowning in cheese kind of pizza . 😁
This place is great but busy. Take out is available but there’s always a line . They do delivery via caviar . Their best pizza is the Napoletana - tomato , capers , anchovies , hot peppers . Try it!
One of the best pizza places on either coast. Pair your slices with the wide selection of Italian wines under the outdoor heat lamps on a cool San Francisco evening in the Mission.
You can make the argument that no restaurant in the last decade has changed the dining landscape quite like Delfina and its pizzeria offshoot next door. And that's a good thing. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
Simply amazing. Everything in the menu is great. Get a pizza for sure, but try the apps and the meatballs - ridiculous!
There's variety, from the clam pie to the house-made fennel sausage to the daily rotating seasonal specials , all clocking in under $20. Read more
Great pizza ! Amazing crust! Get a pizza at Pizzeria Delfina and dessert at Bi rite creamery. Perfect plan for weekend
The margherita pizza is deceptively simple, right? Simple enough that you kinda want to order the fancy broccoli raab, panna or prosciutto pie ? Imma let you finish, but ... you get the idea. Order it.
When it's nice out - I'd just get a couple pizzas to-go, a bottle of red from bi-rite and picnic at Dolores Park . Delfina's pizzas are so delicious and can be enjoyed anywhere.
Very busy place, you literally cannot go wrong with what pizza you choose it's that good. Iconic San Francisco location.
Skip the line by sitting at the bar . Delicious pizzas are served surprisingly quick. Pair with a tasty bottle of red for a good time 👌🏻
The pizza is great. I would get one per person, because you won't want to stop eating - they're so good!
Get the tuna conserva: a delicious and surprisingly filling combination of flaky oily tuna , meltingly soft butter beans , and bitter greens.
Chilly night in SF? Don't worry they have heat lamps to keep you and the special of the day nice and toasty !
Does it look busy? Sit at the bar for a perfect pizza made before your eyes. Don't miss their special antipasti ; they are ALWAYS excellent.
Buratta is excellent. Soft, served with crunchy bread , olive oil , and arugula . I wonder if they make it in house?
Get the spicy cauliflower . "The spicy and salty mix of flavors is fantastic alongside the caramelization of the cauliflower ." - Chef Rachel Sillcocks Read more
Waiting is typical here. We loved the Salsiccia , and Prosciutto Pie . Save some room for the bomb-ass Meatballs in Sugo as well .
The special avocado salad is amazing and the Prosciutto Pie are amazing. Well worth a stop in!
Best pizza . Take the one with home made sausage with a glass of Italian wine
Get the classic Neapolitan-style Margherita made with minimal but super tasty ingredients, like Berkeley-based Belfiore mozzarella — it's packed with flavor! Sometimes simplicity really is perfection. Read more
One of the only top pizzerias in the city that does to-go orders. Take advantage, never wait in line for a table. The fried stuff here tends to be gross, stick with the salads , antipasti , and pizzas .
Pizzas are perfect to share for 2 especially if you want to grab some dessert elsewhere along mission after. (I suggest mission pie)
Pizza is good but not all that in my opinion. Certainly the prosciutto pizza was not worth 17USD at all. Didn't try the margherita though. Will continue looking for the best pizza napolitana in town .
Fantastic Italian menu and delicious fresh pizzas . Although Delfina is usually crowded and hard to get in, the pizzeria next door that is smaller and open for lunch tends to have more openings.
Maybe the best pizza I've had in the city . Menu changes , but asparagus with lemon brown butter and pizza amatriciana were highlights. Great service.
Simple ingredients that pack a punch of flavor. Get some burrata to start and split a couple pizzas with friends.
Margarita pizza was the best!!! We ordered Panna as well and that was pretty delicious too. Would certainly do back.
Zagat 25. Cost $30. “Insanely good”, “beautifully charred” Neapolitan-style pies with “innovative toppings” have fans of this Mission–Pac Heights duo vowing they “won’t eat pizza anyplace else”;
I love Neapolitan style pizza but I thought this pizza was too crisp. It was very... Crunchy, and good Neapolitan pizza dough should have some give.
Just when you thought you couldn’t eat another bite, there’s the panna cotta , a little bit of heaven on a plate. Read more
Roasted carrots and prosciutto pizza were both simple and really delicious. Sit outside & enjoy!
A Neapolitan-styled margherita 🍕 is my first choice. The sauce: tomato wonderland. A modest balance of sauce and crust.
Almost always busy. You can order carry out and skip the line , or put your name in the chalkboard and grab a glass of wine while you wait.
Big fan of the Panna and the prosciutto pizza . The ingredients are fresh. Expect a wait, but worth it.
corn meal deep dish is great, but the thin crust is often overlooked (and excellent) - Seema Amble
Must haves are the crispy tagliolini dumplings and the polenta with tomato & gorgonzola. - LaShea Rowe
Try the Burata With Pesto Salad - With prosciutto wrapped bread. - Michael Meadows
Ginger, salted caramel and orange cardamom are the best flavors here!! - Deep Pancholi
Good large playground for kids. Great park. Lots of dogs playing. Great view over the city. - Magnus Herbertsson
