The former home and studio of Pieter Paul Rubens , one of Belgium 's greatest painters , was designed by Rubens himself. Since 1946, it serves as a museum , showcasing a.o. Rubens 's famous self-portrait.
This is a great museum to discover who really Rubens was. It gives you an idea of the reason Rubens can be considered one of the firsts "rockstars" among painters .
Interesting to see how rich people used to live. The museum is pretty small but interesting. The shop offers postcards, puzzles and the usual things.
If you're visiting Antwerp for only a day, instead of having coffe outside, must visit here - house & museum of the famous Belgian painter ...
Amazing atmospheric museum with great thematic collection of works by Rubens , his teachers , students and friends.
Definitely worth the visit also check@out the cathedral if you are into Ruben’s works.
Excuisite collection of art ! Awesome, magnificent in all its facets!
Interesting to see where the painter lived, with a few of his pieces and many by his students. A must-do in Antwerp
Be aware of the fact that if you buy tickets online you still need to come to the ticket office to EXCHANGE them to a paper tickets. So there is just absolutely no point of doing that beforehand.

Walking thru the house was really cool.
Really cool!
A long bearded guide gave us lots of free explainations in the 4 first rooms.
Long queues!
Vale a visita.
La muestra pictórica es de excelente nivel.

Definitely worth taking some time to look around, especially to see the 4 Rubens. But it also has other interesting artworks and really impressive stained glass. - Nicola Leigh Stewart
