The Haddock fish is unexpectedly light (no strong fishy taste). The freshness of the fish is apparent upon the first bite. A good alternative to chips are the mozzarella cheese sticks .
Preferred the cod fish & chips over the haddock ! The mushy peas were surprisingly good too. Small restaurant so the seating feels a bit crowded but it’s in a great area for strolling around after.
The sticky toffee pudding comes in two possible forms. Custard or ice cream . Unless your taste buds are immune/crippled, the custard is sweetness overkill. Each portion is good for two persons.
The best fish and chips in London !cozy ,friendly staff and cheap !no wine list but you can bring your own or shop it from the tesco nearby ;)
Quick dinner spot; Cod w mushy peas , golden crispy outside soft flaky inside, not oily like others I had. Delicious & perfectly cooked. Warning : They serve huge portion
Authentic , traditional fish and chips in an unpretentious setting. A London institution that has been trading for 100 years (established 1914). Excellent.
It's clear why the locals come here; most amazing fish and chips of my life. Order a side of mashed peas . Generous portions :)
Cod , £10.90. Chips sold separately, shock, horror, £2.90. Pickled onion , 90p. Read more
Very good fish&chips rest for central London. Reasonably priced, large portions . Better check for availability before showing up at the door.
Crowded (very mixed), the food is good. The chips (french fries ) were "okay", but not more. Simple, classic stuff. Nothing fancy . Down to earth, fairly priced , fast service . Must go at least once!
A great place for a fish and chips experience. It's the centre of London. You can bring your own alcohol drink .
Huge portions of fish - definitely enough to split between two. Chips come as a side, but I would recommend ordering the mushy peas instead. Fish is not over-fried; overall quite tasty!
Good with fish and chips but could be better with some combo plates. You need to order fish and chips seperately.
Fish & Chips the best that I had. Less greasy than that at poppies and more memorable than that of Masterfish.
I don't like fish and chips but I liked them here. That should give you an idea of how good it was. The fish was really fresh, which was amazing.
An old restaurant serves fish a chips .. Cod and haddock are highly recommended.. Friendly staff and owner is working there himself too
First English meal and it's gotta be fish & chips . Order cod from this very busy restaurant . Come in before dinner time to get seats.
Very friendly staff , and their fish is so crisp and has a nice batter, highly recommended.
Cozy and delicious place to have some traditional fish & chips .
One of the better Fish & Chips in London and good service as well . :)
The best fish and chips I've had so far in my life. Great atmosphere and a quality experience overall.
Run around the corner to Nicolas and pick up a bottle of something to match your fish 'n chips . No corkage fee at The Golden Hind. And the staff even provide glassware to match your beverage type!
It’s no-frills, café-style eating with all the usual suspects – haddock , cod , plaice and halibut – cooked to golden, crispy perfection. Try the homemade pud – jam sponge and custard . Read more
In Marylebone, the Golden Hind makes a very tasty, traditional cod and chips at a good price. Bring your own beer or wine and they'll supply cups for you.
Go for a classic fish & chips + peas . You won't be disappointed
Traditional fish and chips is absolutely delicious in this restaurant.you can bring your drink from outside.
Fried haddock (more flavour than cod ) + chips (w/ lots of vinegar) + mushy peas (a must) + a pickled onion (the secret!)
Try their cod , It's the best. This place allows you to get drinks from out side and you can request for glasses n ice. Yay! !!
Terrific fish n chips in this BYOB establishment. Note that fish , chips , and mushy peas are ordered separately.
Delicious, reasonably priced fish and chips for Central London. Busy venue but service is still fast.
Ab Fab ! But brink your own beer or wine (serve only soft drinks )
Excellent fish and chips !! Loved the space and the staff is very kind.
Typical fish and chips place. Few dishes on the menu, the way it's supposed to be. Fish&chips, dessert , bottle of water: 19£
The cod is amazing and not oily, great place to come for fish & chips experience
They allow you to bring your own alcohol so bear in mind. Bread is massive. Recommend 1 between 2.
Classic fish & chips joint. No frills, no fuss (and no alcohol but you can bring your own).
Traditional fish and chip shop . Best in town . Yummy cod and thick chips .
Good fish & chips , as well as tasty mushy peas . Fills up quickly at lunchtime. Large sized plates are definitely large.
Massive portions ! Tasty food! Slightly overpriced but the food is really good!
They've bought out the next door business and created more space. Great fish and chips here.
Best fish and chips !! No jokes!! You must try it yourself!!!
You'll be in awe when they put a whole fish in front of you, but it's delicious. Share sides of chips and (non-mushy) peas .
Huge serving. Good fish and okay fries .
Don't forget to try their apple crumble with custard !!
Fried Cod and Chips . The large is quite large.
Fish and chips is epically good.
So good it's been open since WW1. And they've recently doubled their seating space so table waiting times have basically halved. Probably.
Good option for a quick meal in the area
One of the remarkable fish&ships Ive been. Woth it.
Simply the perfect fish & chips ... the "pure" tradition
Place is clean, staff is quite friendly and fish and chips are great! Best place for a nice saturday dinner in Soho! - Karl Klobuznik
Very tasty! The small was already pretty large :) save room for dessert! - Vivian Wang
Cracking good meal . Value for money . Friendly staff . Freshly cooked . Highly recommended - Nick Parrish
In my opinion it’s the best shopping department in London now. Updated and well organized. Good atmosphere and was surprised to see they have a huge toys department FAO Shwarz from NYC! - Just Me .. @what_food23
Smith's stout us better than guinness. I also highly recommend the pure brew. - Ryan Campbell
Lovely old fashioned pub with a cosy traditional interior. Piano sing-a-longs are held on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Great real ales. - Carl Griffin
