This theater used to be a gem with great snacks , drinks, and character. Worth a journey across town . Recently bought by AMC, now bland and boring. No longer worth the trip.
I loved this place when Sundance ran it. Now: it no longer validates parking , the food is crap, the service is poorer and AMC has dreckified everything it could.
AMC has made concessions worse. Bad food options and slower (understaffed) service.
What happened to our lovely Kabuki?! Still in transition but ugh. Uniqueness gone.
The friendly neighborhood theater. While it may have lost the pre-AMC era charm, it's still nice. Screens 7 and 8 in particular are fun because they feel like a big home theater, very intimate .
This place used to have better food and drink before it joined the AMC group, but it’s still a solid place to see a movie .
The theatres themselves are still good but AMC has ruined everything else.
Not as premium now that it’s an AMC... you have a solid 20 min from start time before the movie begins. Still a bar though!
This is better than most AMC’s. There’s a bar inside and theaters with dine-in tables. The theaters are small and cozy .
One of my favorite under-rated theaters in SF. Used to come here as a kid before it was AMC so glad its still around.
We came in ready to eat something, and we're welcomed with a long list of things they don't have, barely anything was available on the menu.... not a great dine in experience
This is an awesome spot for a theatre. In the mood to catch the newly released film on big screen ? You came to the right spot.
A decent choice when Alamo is sold out or isn't showing what you want to see.
$5 Movie Tuesdays if you are an AMC club member (free!)
They’ve done away with the food. Bar is still available, but food is now limited to typical movie fare (popcorn , hot digs, nachos , etc)
the bar is ok. very much worse than it used to be.
The screens are a little small so make sure you get a good seat. Row F is good.
On our (unlucky) day: 3 sound and image interruptions, 1 projectionist who took 10-20 minutes to reboot the system. S**t happens but not at all impressed by this cinema . ????????☠️
Theaters have small screens and seats regular sized. Metreon has much better facilities and it’s time for Kabuki to upgrade itself.
You can take drinks and food inside yaay . The seats are comfy
I miss the food from when it was Sundance but they still have the bar/lounge
Incredibly long and slow lines for food and drink.
Just as gross and dirty as any other AMC. I do like that it has a bar , though.
Matinees are a gem!
Unfortunately they tend to be out of a lot of things, a lot of the time.
They’re always understaffed. Sometimes they don’t event have popcorn ready. If you have other options, I wouldn’t recommend it.
They did not have AC in the theater... it was very stuffy
Fun, vertical layout
The return of Tanya Tucker screening
Doesn’t actually open at 11. We waited outside for about half an hour
They don't have coffee anymore :(
