This ride actually intimated me just a bit, but I can say that if you don't have any motion sickness issues, make sure you choose the orange experience. You won't be disappointed with your ride!
There is def a difference between green & orange rides . The intense orange one subjects you to intense g-forces. I loved it. But some of my party definitely did not. Go for green if you're unsure.
If you are sensible to motion sickness you can ask to have the less intense simulator (also less crowded ) if you are in the standard one DO NOT Look to your side in the ride, will make you dizzy!
Pretty awesome! Green ride is fine, but Orange ride is really real with G feeling, simulation and all real motion sickness. One of the best in Epcot. Don't miss it.
I chose the Green side & came off this ride thinking that I missed my calling to be an astronaut! Soo much fun, my favorite ride at Epcot! Thrill seekers, try the Orange side ! I will, next time!
You can choose the Orange side (for thrill-seekers) or the Green side (for less thrills). Orange Side *will* spin you around with g-forces.
TOTALLY REDONE! The g forces are even more intense, and the audio-visual content is so cool. It's even better than before. But I still miss Lieutenant Dan (Gary Sinise ).
An absolute blast! Not too crazy or upsetting just look forward and enjoy the trip to Mars! But if you think it's too crazy you can choose the Green (mellow) level.
This difference between Orange and Green is a matter of G forces. In both cases you get an immersive simulation experience. Stick with Green since you're not training for a real space mission.
The orange (Mars) mission is actually a lot more intense than the green (Earth) mission. Don't ride this after you've eaten, you might feel very sick!
Ride Orange and regret later! And do it with an empty stomach! You must feel the G forces at least once in your life come on!!
Do the orange side ! It's great! Except if you get easily dizzy, in that case you should go for the green side !
I did the Orange side . They warn you to only look straight at the screen and not anywhere else. Take their advice or you'll end up feeling sick!
All the hype about the orange had me feeling a little reluctant... But it was awesome... However it kind of ruined "StarTours" for me later in the day. Best ride at Epcot. Don't do Soarin.
Intense Ride! You can really feel the difference and the movement in advanced as soon as you feel it lift off. I actually saw people use the motion sickness bags...
Get a fast pass and while you are waiting do the green side and then do the orange side you can tell a huge difference. Great ride!
Be careful if you have pins. I lost one but thankfully Samantha was nice enough to stick by me after the ride and ask the CMs to look for it on the ride. It didn't turn up but very nice of them.
For those with little ones who need to wait. Enter through the gift shop to play in an out of this world climber.
My favourite Epcot ride. It's an experience you don't find anywhere else.
Don't let the warnings on the Orange side scare you off - well worth it. Mainly feeling of g-force.
Without the spinning, plenty of low-impact fun. This would probably be really cool with the g-forces. Too bad I'm a wuss.
They are really not kidding about the intense part!! It gets up to almost 4 G's..enough to make most people feel sick and disoriented. Be sure to tighten your muscles and push ur feet into the floor!
One of the best rides of Epcot. They have two types of intensity dr selection.
If you can handle it, go for a ride on the simulated spaceship. Otherwise, check out the training facility for a glimpse at what it would be like to work at mission control!
Probably the best ride in Disney World. I don't know how they to it, but it feels like you lift up to the sky... Do it!
Absolute blast! Just make sure you don't come from having dinner at 9 Dragons in China before doing this.
Best Ride in EPCOT in my opinion👍🏻 definitely go orange no matter what
If you choose to skip Mission:SPACE while the rest of your group goes on the attraction , wait in the air-conditioned interactive play space, Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Lab.
Out of all the rides in all of the parks , this is the only one with pukes bags and I almost hurled. Code 5!
Chickened out and went for mild, primarily due to limited time and the waiting game. Have a go if you have time
I was a little nervous in the briefing room for Orange , as I have stomach problems. But it was a lot of fun, nice Gforces. Orange is a must.
Do the Orange for G-Force! It's a pretty sick feeling-- in come cases, quite literally. They have sick bags if you need one. ;D
High G ride that is perfect for prepping you for space travel. Highly recommend if you have always wondered what it could be like.
6 year old daughter loved the mission. Great way to promote space and excitement for youth.
Definitely make time to play the games at the end!! They are SUPER FUN!! :-D
Look for the Hidden Mickey's on both sides of the screen before launch. It's also funny to see Gary Sinice clearly reading the TelePrompTer is the briefing room video.
The more intense/orange experience *is* actually more intense than I expected. Def not for ppl who get motion sickness easily or just ate lunch !
Cool virtual launch to space- I like roller coasters but this one left me a little queasy
Orange team is awesome, but time this ride 2 hours after your last meal and 2 hours before your next.
I'm a pilot and never get motion sick, but orange side makes me feel a tiny bit queasy for hours. Green side unless you're resting right after.
If you don't like enclosed spaces or simulators , this isn't for you. Orange side was intense, but not as bad as it's hyped to be. Really enjoyed this one.
Can make you woosy. I wasn't the first time I rode it in 2012 but I was today. Just be prepared. I saved it for last.
A great ride. Can be intense for the claustrophobic.
If you are not an avid thrill seeker, be sure to experience this ride with the GREEN TEAM!
Once you're in the simulator , get acquainted with all the switches/buttons. You only need the two they talk about, but the rest cause other lights and sounds to activate...you feel like it's all real!
If g forces make you sick, either go to the green side or admit this ride may not be for you.
Great ride with queues which aren't too bad.
If you get motion sickness easily this ride is not for you. Green is for not spinning just movement, orange will spin. Both are different experiences.
Keep your eyes open and on the screen in front of you, and you'll do fine. Fun ride!
Be smart! Do this ride later in the day when all the uninitiated masses are in World Showcase.
