Shifen Sky Lantern Square

Packed most of the time. Walk further down to the station to get less crowded scene for photo. The lantern would fly too far and drop within few km. check out a small shoes shop nearby for surprise!

Famous for releasing wishing lanterns, looks great during the night as the sky is light up with lanterns, however not so encourage to release it as it pollutes the environment.

If you are visiting the waterfall , be sure to reach the waterfall gate before 3pm because it closes at 4. It's a 30min walk from the sky lantern shops, or about 5 min by car, taxi or rented scooter.

A small town earned 10x than others! A popular place among tourists and always crowded regardless weekdays or weekends. A must go place when visiting Taiwan.

Sky Lantern is prohibited in many places. It's one of the few places you can still fly one. Enjoy the experience.

Packed during the yearly lantern festivals . Grab a seat hours early and don't leave!

The lanterns are huge. You could write a novel on them. Light them up and watch them float away.

Better to do sky lantern at pingxi old street (1 train stop before shifen)- less touristy less crowded better photo opportunities !

Best to visit at night????

Very crowded but all staffs understand what we should do. Just do what they say. It costs 150 to 200 for flying away your own lantern.

Good experience for those that have not tried it before

Definitely a must do.

Train available at shifen: 8pm, 8.42pm and 10pm. Long gap.

有名なランタン 打ち上げスポット。列車 が来ないタイミングは線路に出ることができフリーダム 感を味わえます、人が多いですが。
