One of the coziest spots in town is the bar/restaurant at the Phoenix Hotel . This is a great place to escape the cold on any late fall or winter evening. The grits with tomato aioli are recommended. Read more
The cozy , den-like interior of this Tenderloin spot at the always hip Phoenix Hotel has one of the best, most L.A.-like outdoor spaces in the city , surrounding an actual swimming pool . Read more
Like a good power ballad, the cocktails on the menu are more complex than their simple names let on, but the bar really shines on a nice evening when the two bars spill out onto the poolside patio . Read more

This back patio oasis at the Phoenix Hotel is so hip that it draws rock stars and models and feels more L.A. poolside or NYC Soho House than any other scene in San Francisco. Read more
Burger here is excellent. The seasonal vegetables were actually quite tasty. Recommend trying as many small plates as possible and sharing with the group. The beets and burrata are also a can't miss.
Great option for brunch (reserve ahead and request the outdoor table ) or drinks -- there's always seating and it's not too loud . Takes reservations !
Trendy spot with great indoor/outdoor vibes. Recommend enjoying drinks by the pool (before it closes at midnight). Good crowd, but not too crowded .
Trendy decor in the city + solid drinks. For food, the winners were the hamachi ceviche and the kobe beef tri-tip which cooks in front of you. No go on that truffle dip though, looked like ruffles!
Extraordinary presentation of even basic menu items, very reasonable prices, and absolutely delicious. I recommend the eggs in a hole.
Solid food, cool vibes, great music . Try the octopus , the ravioli , and the Japanese croquettes . Prices are good for SF standards.
Portions are a bit on a smaller side so order a bit more than you normally would - I highly recommend the smoked grit fries and the pork belly appetizers . Also, the cocktails are fabulous here
Everything I tried was great but you MUST HAVE the tator tots with pork remoulade and bacon dust (!). Vodka Drink is cocktail of choice -it's made with Stoli, elderflower, and basil .
Whether you are recovering from the weekend or from back at work, you can count on the Chamber's cheeseburger to make you feel better. That and a glass of beer . Read more
Food is amazing. Personally I say ditch the line at Brenda's and come here for Brunch . Try the cauliflower omelet and the bacon .
Fantastic brunch , great cocktails , and amazing patio seating . Best French toast I've had in the city .
For brunch Pork Belly and eggs royale are flavor bombs. Really good. And the bottomless mimosas are boozy , as they should be.
A very classy joint in an unlikely neighborhood . Cool bartenders and great signature cocktails like the Bramble (Tanqueray gin + Leopolds blackberry). BE AMAZING.
Awesome setting, great small plates including fried brussel sprouts , tri tip . Have an outdoor patio which would be nice in better weather
Their food is very yummy. They have a hefty record collection that's fun to look through. This place is also fun for drinks.
Brunch here is one of the great secrets of SF. Get the Tortilla Espanola .
Enjoy the achingly stylish interior , complete with shelves filled with vinyl records , and be blown away by Californian fusion food prepared by chef Trevor Ogden.
The somehow-chic motel pool area was so unexpected for an out-of-towner warned of tenderloin's dangers. An oasis in every way. Felt a little like Miami
The fried chicken is more schnitzel , than southern fried. Still good, but you won't be choosing wings or thighs :)
This place is great for those who want to dance / rage. Also the back bar area is a little more laid back than the front bar area.
love the pool & landscaping - very midcentury. the place was transformed, great design. wonderful place to counterbalance rest of SF...feels very LA, which can be refreshing once in awhile. ;)
Call for a ressie on weekends. For hearty vegetarian brunch , the egg sandwich is filling and comes with a side salad .
The bartender james is awesome. He's the shit cause he's nice and he makes yummy strong cocktails !
Yeah yeah, be amazing. Take your drink outside and chill in a pool cabana instead.
brunch is really tasty here, try the eggs royale ... it's divine. I also like the grapefruit mimosa - it isn't always on the menu, but just ask.
Two areas. If you want a chill vibe head to the back. Full bar with fun staff .
The pool parties are really fun. Also a good bar on a regular night. The neighborhood his sketchy though.
Laid back vibe and great cocktails . Not a long food menu, but burger and duck are great choices.
The 'Why Go' is like bathing in bourbon flavored bubble bath.
Love the ambiance. Sit outside in the lounge chairs near the firepit or poolside .
The menu is unique but quite good. They offer bottles mimosas with brunch and it's a great deal!
Good food. The burger , with bacon , was tasty. Fat cut fries . Friendly service , good mix of people and music is fun.
Been here for brunch a few times. The sweet are better than the savory items. But definitely try the biscuits and gravy
Went family style and all the food was great, esp the French toast . Service was sub par, maybe cuz it was New Yrs Day.
Attended a VIP screening for FOX's "New Girl" at this venue. The hors d'oeuvres were yum especially the tender cubed steak atop tofu and prosciutto wrapped asparagus . Read more
This is my favorite brunch spot in the city . Sit outside by the pool & listen to live music .
You might have to wait a while to get a drink but the amazing decor and atmosphere make up for it. The kobe plate is awsome.
Biscuits for brunch are huge! Delicious gravy because of all the pork .
Good drinks. Cool outdoor area . Don't worry about the neighborhood .
Had our Plate by Plate Kickoff Happy Hour event here! Great little hidden oasis in the back for an outdoor happy hour !
Nice ambience, good food (brunch is tasty) and cocktails

Grit fries are worth a try. And have a look at that fantastic cocktail menu .
