Cloos' Coney Island

Best hot dogs in town . They have a great "snap" when you bite them and don't have that nasty red dye. Lamb gyro and Philly cheese-steak are also very good. One of my favorite go-to spots.

I'm an ex Detroiter / Michigander. The owners are from Michigan. These are the best coney's outside of Detroit ! Truly a great treat. Only missing Vernor's ginger ale . Highly recommend.

Since moving back to home to Ireland I had no idea that I would have longings to be back in Cloo's for the never disappointing food only to be enchanted by a great team of staff that engage sincerely.

You should definitely try the grilled cheese - basic, but delicious! Also, the chicken gyros are surprisingly really good!

Glad to see this is still here...it was popular back when I was finishing up at NCSU. And the owner is a huge Detroit Tigers fan too!

They say that Cloos has the best chili cheese fries in the Triangle... The fries themselves were excellent. The chili and cheese ? Amazingly mediocre.

When all the tables are full, place your order then wait at the back wall for the next free table. All the "regulars" know this! GREAT food!

I was greeted with "If you order bacon , I will hate you forever." It took them FIFTY MINUTES TO MAKE A HOTDOG ! It was $20 for my wife and I to eat and the food was average at best.
