Worth going out if your way to track this place down. Go early because it gets packed, and scope out the upstairs for hidden seats. Best alleyway drinking we found on our trip.
Wow, what a gold mine. It's the perfect pub . From the old structure to the pints, to the traditional pub food . This is truly a London gem.
One of only a few Fullers pubs in London I enjoy, this place is a lovely old building , unpretentious atmosphere and super friendly staff . Basic and very cheap bar snack selection, a refreshing change.
This little pub is everything that you like about London: it’s cosy yet cool, a bit hidden but busy and has been there since the medival times. The take-one-bring-one library is a nice thing too.
One of my fav pubs in all of London. Tucked away in a side street. Gets packed around 5p. Grab a table in the back or upstairs.
Great place and atmosphere! Good beer . Cozy inside and nice alley way for drinking outside. Love it.
Not hard to find as there's a sign revealing the alleyway & pub posted on the main street. Service is stern & curt yet accommodating. A lot of suits mixed with tourists . Surprising amount of space.
The square in which it stands was once an enclave of Cambridgeshire within London. Serves great real ale .
Great hidden pub . Nooks and crannies and very cozy . A favourite of mine and look forward to it never changing.
Wonderful secret tucked away pub . Fun guest beers . Lots of standing and seating space all around.
A real pub tucked away down a back alley. Great bar staff who give as good as they get. Lots of tourists as it must be on a "quaint English pub " list.
This spooky ancient tavern is where Dan Brown would buy a beer if he was in town . Shadowy alleys lead into a medieval courtyard where a sign reveals Ye Olde Mitre was built by Bishop Goodrich in 1546. Read more
If they have their guest ale , More, on tap I highly recommend it. Dark, nutty, delicious.
Popped in at lunchtime, serves small snacks like toasted sandwiches and olives to eat. Very famous for range of Ales and the fact it is a little bit of Cambridgeshire in the East End of London. Very
Traditional pub in a great setting in a small alley. Hidden gem and one of the oldest pub in London .
Got the cider on draft . Love this hidden alleyway pub . Divey vibes.
Recommended for people want to see a historical pub of London. Ale menu is delicious as well .
Hidden secret in Holborn. Awesome bar food - very reasonably priced! Fantastic quirky little pub :-)
Brilliant, hide away pub . Tiny. You need to spot the sign off Hatton Gardens . Fullers . Always cosy and always friendly .
Excellent mini-boozer selling lovely well kept Fullers beers . Not open on the weekend though!
Interesting traditional/old pub which is accessed through a narrow alley. Feel like an old timer having a drink here!
The pub is hidden in an alley. You won't be disappointed when you find it. Cheers!
A hidden gem . Packed with locals!
The cherry tree preserved in this pub was once the dividing line between the estates of the Bishop of Ely and Queen’s favourite Sir Christopher Hatton – famous feuding neighbours of Tudor London.
Love the toasted sandwiches , decent selection of bitters and beer on draught too
One of London’s oldest pubs , tucked away down a back ally - not open at the weekend though!
Good beer best place to catch up not for cocktail lovers ;)
Buy your drinks before you head up to the upstairs area . No bar upstairs and the narrow stairwell is a real hard squeeze to get down.
Perfect English pub . Awesome inside and outside. Fine ales .
Cozy pub . It's tough to find, but the payoff is absolutely worth it.
It's good for groups ! The beer is amazing as always
Doesn't get more English than this! Classic pub , definitely worth a visit.
Cute , hidden pub . Back room is larger than the front.
Until the 1970's, Both the license of the premises and the Police for this pub had to come from Cambridge. The City of London and its Police had no jurisdiction here.
Traditional pub , with a lovely selection of beers and nibbles
Busy and small but worth it.
Good service . Great beer . Lovely place to hang out.
Not easy to find - via a narrow lane off Hatton Garden . Dates back to 1546. Good selection of ales .
It's old. It's perfect & it's where you wanna go.
Cozy pub that has table service - gets busy but does empty out
Hard to find but well worth it - an unspoilt old pub with lovely atmosphere, unusual guest beers , and bargain toasted sandwiches Read more

Ancient pub . Cosy and busy. Well hidden
Great beer and atmosphere
A little bit hidden, but worth the effort.

Great old style pub with a fire
The best pub in London . Simple as that
