Victory Square Park and the memorial cenotaph anchor the area which was an offshoot of the Gastown area dating back to the 1890's, and was part of the commercial and administrative centre of the city .
It's so beautiful this time, but once the sun is too low to shine gets very chilly...bring a sweater if staying staying past 5:30pm
Bring your lunch and sit on the stairs and enjoy the sunshine!
The grass may look green and inviting, but I've seen horrible things happening on it... try the stairs instead!
Have lunch on the stairs when it's sunny!
Don't sleep at Victory Square.
