Incredibly food, memorable service - just an all round winner. If you're not sure what to get just ask your waiter and take their recommendation. But everything is great! Pic = miso butter scallops

Grilled scallop , blew my mind, the skin-contact white wine by architects of wine was out there weird and delicious. Cuttlefish special was incredible. A really great place.

Strong atmosphere, solid food and good service . Definitely good for a small group dinner or a date, but also worth visiting simply because you want to have a good meal.

The mushroom and fig is delicious, as is the angus steak . Ordered 5 dishes for 3 people, and the amount was perfect. Great beer list also.

Great all round! The dark chocolate , pear , coffee almond meringue , amaretti is bloody delicious!!

Lovely modern fitout with lots of cute design details. Fancy cocktails and snacks ? Why shouldn't Newtown have this? Service is great. Trifle is amazing. But get there early for a seat.

They don't take bookings , so prepare for lengthy waits of up to 90 minutes for a table (esp on weekends). Arrive early, then head across the road to Earl's Juke Joint for drinks while waiting.

Hate the wait, but the food is good. Loved the pork , polenta chips & the crab & asparagus dishes. The chicken had an unappetising grey sludge sauce - avoid!

Book a table outside and enjoy their set menu

Great to see use of heirloom vegetables . Shame the food is just okay. Pork was chewy and so was the scallops . Great service thou!!!

Good selection of drinks, if your looking for something filling or standard their menu isnt for you, if you are up for trying something a little different give this place a go.

Get in early for a table. Didn't love the smaller dishes as much as the mains - Great fish special and the lamb is delicious! Bloodwood trifle for dessert .

The socca is always a great option, and can highly recommend the miso cuttlefish !!

One of the best places for cocktails and New Australian cuisine in Newtown.

Echo the polenta chips being awesome, the salmon wrapped in vine leaves and pastry was also stand out. Kudos for the service.

Croquettes are amazing! Better than the polenta chips ... But they're still good too.

Try the meaty fried bean curd skin roll (contains pork , crab and shitake mushroom ). It's "god's gift to beer drinkers"

The beetroot and walnut tart isn't that great but the polenta and gorgonzola chips are a winner!

For a bit of everything, the degustation is fairly reasonable for price and portions.

Great addition to Newtown dining scene. Have the polenta chips and the kingfish is lovely too.

Save room for dessert . Amazing!
