Lovely pub ! The stairs are great along with the exposed beams they add so much character . The pub has some great seating areas. I've not tried the food yet. Drinks can be a bit pricey !
A pub oozing with charm and character , and offering a good selection of real ales . Food is also available until late evening.
Lovely surroundings. Very helpful bar staff . Great real ales and several options for the driving drinker. Amazing gin selection and looks like fantastic pizzas .

Book an upstairs room for a party. They'll put a barrel of ale in the corner and bring you a range of fresh crispy pizzas . Sister pub to Lord Nelson in Oakham.

Great pub , bags of character and good beers ...but don't try to take your young children in. They don't stand for it. A shame; very friendly pub otherwise.

Great food, probably nicest pub in Stamford. Main food served until 2.30pm, sandwiches and sides until 5pm
Saturdays are always really busy! Food stops at 2.30pm but get there much earlier. Often a 45 min wait on food from around 1pm
Bigger than you think when you get inside. Plenty of decent ales here too. Worth a visit.
Amazing pub . Very old building (1290?), almost like someones home. Lovely place. Good pizza and brilliant for local ales :)

I'm Deffo old school Stamford and remember this place before it closed down. Now very different although still has an edge. Always packed and has a great atmos on a sat night with the band playing. - David Barkhouse

Used to be one of best pubs in Stamford now smells of stale beer and the toilets are a disgrace filthy smelly and disgusting if that’s standard of cleaning would worry about beer and food - R Jones
