Easy to get to and one of the more beautiful blowholes we saw during our time in Hawaii.
Spouting Horn was formerly dwarfed by adjacent blowhole Kukui‘ula Seaplume, which would shoot as high as 200 feet into the air. It was blown up in the 20s by a cane plantation worker!
A few vendors (unwilling to haggle) on the way to the blow spouts. If you look carefully, you can see pretty big turtles in the tide pools , probably eating crabs ! Stray cats wander around too.
The view is fantastic. I love watching the water coming up through the rocks. The gift shop area has a large selection of items to shop for.
The effect is a consequence of a lava tunnel that has been further eroded by the water until a slight hole is made on the surface
A powerful geyser of water that on a good day shoots up to 15 feet high fountain of water into the air. Read more
Come for a beautiful sunset and then watch all the chickens go to the trees to roost at night!
Fun place to visit and get good photos of the spouting horn . Skip the shops though, they are really touristy .
It’s pretty cool. You can spot a turtle hanging around in a water occasionally.
Located across the National Botanical Garden , it's worth a 15-20 min stop for some great photos.
Nice lookout area. Come at sunset .
Beautiful natural wave spout! And if you pay attention, you may see a passing whale or two.
How can you go wrong with spouting water, whales and sea turtles while the wife buys over prices souvenirs.
Scenery is amazing.
When the surf is good so is the spout! The shops love locals as well !
Very cool to see. A nice short stop to make. There are some nice shops as well .
Blowhole in the rocks that is good for a quick stop .
Wait for it... Then take a picture. Amazing.
Need to go there when there's a decent swell
Also a few vendors here with reasonable prices.
Really cool! Must see quick stop !
Worth the drive for amazing view
The vendors sell a lot of junk, but there are some authentic Ni'ihau leis $$$$
Great place to watch sea turtles !
A good spot to see and hear the Spouting Horn and keep your eyes open for sea turtles .
Don't try to haggle with the vendors. Consider them "stores without doors", and treat them accordingly.
Don't feed the chickens or feral cats. Mahalo!
You're not supposed to feed the chickens but the baby chicks are so dang cute !
Wait for a windy day. Big waves means big water sports !
Even at low tide you can see the water spouting!
Be patient. It will blow up.
Amazing...
