Some 314 species of plant jostle for space in this precious six-hectare fragment of primary tropical forest, forming a multi-layered ecosystem of herbs and ferns, climbers, shrubs, and trees. Some trees reach 50 metres in height, and were here even before the founding of modern Singapore in 1819.

well shaded on a hot day - interesting wildlife scurrying about - a less visited corner of the botanical garden and worth a little getting lost in. Dont worry - it's S'pore - no leeches.
Who knew there was a rainforest in botanic gardens ? A rather shady boardwalk, so no need for hiking shoes really.
????: Deepest part of Botanic Garden , the forest is raining ☔.
