Easily one of the best real barbecue joints in all of Portland. The service is good and all the food is good. I have yet to try something I didn't like.
Thrillist Top BBQ List: "What you're getting: The Pitmaster" The heaping platter includes 1/4lb of pulled pork (sauce on the side), 1/4lb of brisket (including burnt ends ), 1 sausage , 2 ribs
Specials happening everyday. I think the best ones are Tuesday and Saturday. Ribs , brisket , mac and cheese , corn bread , potato salad and pecan pie , to share, for three. Heavenly!
If you lucky one to visit here on a Thu, try smoked lamb . If not, it's brisket brisket brisket
Brisket sandwich is crazy spicy (for me). Cornbread with honey is excellent. Expect to wait or cozy up to the bar .
If it's you're first time, you should go with the Pit Boss . It's a well-portioned sample of their best meats. One of the only places I ask about their specials. Come hungry.
Good BBQ ???? liked the collared greens ????, ????, Texas Caviar , and the lemonade . Skip the wings , there so-so. Good chips and salsa .
Second time here... Lots of great food, hard for vegetarians but the wedge is a great deal (and great deal of food)
They don’t have the breakfast tacos anymore, but they do have ‘La Taq Takeover’ in partnership with their next door neighbor. Currently on Mondays and Tuesdays, 4-9pm.
There is not a bad choice everything is outstanding.. Dessert is a must even if you get it "to go"...house made banana pudding or the pecan pie is f'ing amazing!
Delicious. Brisket and chicken are way to go. Trout is great as well . Grits on brunch menu are fantastic. Very kid friendly !
Podnah’s hits the lowest common denominator of what makes food satisfying: salt, sweetness, fat, and Rodney Muirhead’s sauce has the perfect acidity. The brisket is perfectly smoked. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
The brisket is excellent! Ask what sides they have that day, they aren't always on the menu. The Mac & Cheese with green chilies is amazing!
We got a little taster if everything and decided to order two more portions of their ribs cause theh are just divine!
Pitboss was a great choice. Their mustard really compliments the sausage . Brisket was juicy, tender, beautiful smoke ring.
Pit boss is a good sampler. Ribs , sausage , brisket , chili is all good...and the corn bread too!
Pretty dang good. Ribs are even better than the brisket , but I recommend you skip the hatch chile mac & cheese .
Brisket delicious. The pit boss gets you a little of everything!
Favorite place for a Bloody Mary and filling breakfast . Masters of slow cooked meats. Very gf friendly .
LOVE this place. The chips and salsa are a must (the best in Portland). The chili is great. I will be back- again and again.
The brisket and ribs were great, juicy with visible smoke rings. For sides, I recommend the collards .
The brisket here is great. Love the Texas style slow cooking that leaves it so tender.
Some of the driest brisket of my life. Sauces are actually pretty good but when you're complimenting the sauces at a BBQ joint ...
be prepared for a long wait , but it's worth it! the brisket is to die for, and try the jalapeño mac and cheese .
The Migas was quite splendid. Incredible flour tortillas on board.
Be prepared for really long lines , but the food is awesome, and the cocktails are always on point.
Everything is great, you can't go wrong - but to leave without eating at least one rib is a crime
From "Best. Bbq . Ever." - best bbq sampler ever, the pit boss plate (Texas and Carolina style bbq )
Really good ribs and bbq . One of the greatest I've had in Portland
Amazing pulled pork sandwich . Add slaw and you're set! Great service too.
Melt in your mouth brisket and great friendly service .
Dip the cornbread in the BBQ beans . Super delicious. The collard greens are tasty as well .
Ribs are amazing. Who knew Portland would bring world class BBQ , but this place does it.
Pulled pork sandwich is awesome for lunch or dinner . The special chicken fried steak is amazing for brunch .
Loved the brisket and the macaroni and cheese was awesome!! Will be back!
Get the coleslaw ! It is vinegary, tastes fresh and has jalapenos in it. My fave side so far!
I highly recommend "Kyle's Breakfast ." The brisket is incredible!
Brisket is incredible and they’ve got an amazing range of sauces!
Consistently superior 'que, esp the pork ribs - great "bark" - and brisket (moist but fatty, natch). Super salty tho otherwise delish cornbread & collards . Relocating to Killingsworth mid-Feb 2011
Brisket is tender and perfectly smoked. Best of The Pitboss . All else is just ok.
Kyle’s breakfast ! The briskets are good!
Good texas bbq , the pitboss is more than enough for two regular appetites.
Every time we're even NEAR Portland, we eat at Podnah's. Make sure you order a Derailer.
Witty bartenders though service can benefit from expediency. BBQ is great though Mac & cheese is a play on volume not quality
Texas Red (chili ), The Pitboss (sampler to share), Good sides
Great meals, with huge portion sizes. Each plate can easily feed two.
Everything was great. Get the Pitboss to sample multiple selections!
the chicken is moist and flavorful, especially when covered in their homemade BBQ sauce .
The only thing here I liked was the brisket , it was good. But everything else was mediocre at best and too salty. So much for best BBQ in Portland.
Super good BBQ - Texas style and tasty bark. Best I've had out of Texas - Brook Shelley
Ribs were so good. Sauce delicious. Eat in and you might get a sampling from Reo of what he just cooked up including steak bites or super hot sauce. - Coni
Sea Salt & Carmel is definitely the go to ice cream. Their seasonal ice cream are also delicious. - Rebecca Holland
The beef puffy tacos are my favorite. I also love the margaritas and queso dips. - Akemi Ishikawa
Try the Cobb Salad - Blue cheese vinaigrette, egg, cherry tomatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, roasted potatoes, bacon - Michael Blank-Delaney
