I've lived in Atlanta for 30+ years and never knew about this place. It's a hidden jewel right outside of the city ! Great hiking ! Well marked paths, beautiful views , dog friendly .
Bamboo forest , many places to get in river , scenic overlook , lots of trail options....easy to spend a day here and not see everything (leaves you looking forward to next visit)
No, this is the best hike in Metro ATL. Whole park has a N GA mtn feel to it with thick hardwoods, 300 ft overlooks of the river and granite palisades :)
This is possibly the best park in Atlanta. Beautiful trails along the river , and good climbing, if so inclined. Take your soul mate and a picnic - you won't regret it.
The Chattahoochee River is a great place for a bike ride , a leisurely walk, or boating on a sunny afternoon.
If I see someone carrying bear mace on this trail I will view it as a weapon and draw my gun. You have been warned.
