The views from the bell tower are worth a visit! Can see all of the monuments from up high and get a view of the Capitol that is stunning!
Awesome view and not crowded as it’s a hidden secret. Enter next to Starbucks on outside of Trump hotel .
Since the 2011 earthquake closed the Washington Monument , the 315 ft Old Post Office Bell Tower is the highest viewpoint open to the public to get a 360 view of the city . Admission is free.
Building is being purchased, and the visitor's center run by the NPS will be rennovates and enlarged. We basically had an elevator operator. Will come back!
