The Alemany Farmers' Market is known as "the people's market ' for its abundant produce at affordable prices . If you're shopping for Asian vegetables , this is your scene.

Get cash before arriving to the Farmers Market . Small bills are best for most stalls although the pre-made food booths add up. Most vendors accept cash only . There are no stores or ATMs nearby.

Best thing about this market is that every stand will let you generously sample its wares. Not all of what's being sold is great but you can just eat your way to whatever's best that week

Come on Sundays, when it becomes the Alemany Flea Market . Tons of great loot and a nice Panorama Bakery stand for fresh loaves, foccacias and pastries .

Pay attention to the traffic directors. They'll let you know if there are parking spaces in the middle section. Drive super slow because people are distracted and walking everywhere.

They’ve got the best fruits here which vary seasonally. Try many stalls week by week until you find the ones you like.

Get here early for the best selections. Wonderful, seasonal fruit and vegetables , as well as eggs and fresh bread .

Lots of great, cheap groceries ! Open from dawn till dusk but seems to thin out quite a bit by noon.

Arrive early...easier parking and better fresher selection of produce! Always remember the early bird catchs the worm!!

Do not miss the perpared food vendors : tons of great Mexican food , BBQ , crepes , pizza and the all important Afghani bread-and-spread with free samples galore served by a beautiful hustler.

Good produce without the crazy prices. Make sure you walk around to find the best priced stalls as some farmers just seem overpriced.

Try oysters from Pt. Reyes Oyster Farm . $10 for a dozen! So fresh you could smell the ocean. Best of all they're local :)

Get Pomelos for $0.50 each. They aren't the biggest ones but still worth it!

Stop by bryants booth in space 106....great prices...then ask him where his mom is....they both give some great deals.

Awesome place to buy fresh organic vegis and fruits . Summer is much better because they have plenty different kinds.

Come here to get all sorts of fresh produce . Very friendly vendors. Much better than the crowded and touristy Ferry Building farmer's market . Cheaper too.

Go visit the Hummus Guy , hands down best vendor there. He'll make your morning.

avoid the traffic at the entrance of the Alemany Farmer's Market by going up Putnam and turning right at Tompkin's to enter parking lot through the back.

Be sure to see the pretty Afghan girl at her dips+spreads+breads stand - tons of samples and great food

Get the ugly shitake mushrooms . Only slightly blemished for a fraction of the price.
