Very lively place , even at late evening, everything can be bought here, branded and unbranded products, food, raw seafood , and ingredients. Wide option of good restaurants .

A lot of surprise, take your time, and walk slow. A lot of street food available at very reasonable price. A spot that you have to explore at Tokyo.

Great place to shop, or window shop ????. Muslims can eat there as well .lots of kebabs joints. Affordable branded items

Ameya-Yokocho is a street market that runs alongside the railway tracks between JR Ueno Sta & Okachimachi Sta. This Is a food stall heaven, you can easily find some HALAL food here. #TravelingTokyo

戦後、闇市となって様々な物品が売られ、特に飴を売り捌く店が当時200軒以上あった。またアメリカ 進駐軍の放出物資を売る店も多かったことから「アメヤ横丁」と呼ばれ、さらに「アメ横」と略称されることが多くなった。現在でも、アメヤ横丁問屋街には、飴などの菓子 類を売る店がある。

4つあるアメ横の看板のうち御徒町 から上野にかけて３つ目までは「アメ横」で上野寄りのものだけ「アメヤ横丁」となっている。その割合と同様にアメ横が一般的でアメヤ横丁は言われることは少ない。

外国人観光客 が大半で、ブランド モノはほとんどパチモンが並びまるで女人街のよう。香港好きには、香港に行かなくても女人街気分を味わえるスポットかも 。

一部大変狭く人一人すれ違うのがやっとのところあり

ケバブ やたら売ってる。黒人が服をゴリ押しして売ってくる。値段書いてないから怖い。買わない勇気大事(買ってしまった)

鮮魚売ってる店が少なくなり各国料理の飲食が増えた感じがする。中華 系の惣菜 屋が数軒増え夕食 /酒 のツマミ の選択肢が増えた気 がする。

戦後の闇市がルーツの商店街。上野寄りにある“アメ横センタービル”の地下フロアは、匂いから飛び交う言語までまさに異世界。東京で異国を感じるなら必見です。
