Best Mexican on the LES.Mole is super good. Tacos . Margaritas . Guacamole . All are top notch. The space can be a little cramped but worth it. Food is tip top. Never had a thing I wouldn't order again.
Actually only had margaritas here and they are freaking amazing. The habanero grapefruit one is my favorite but it's so spicy . Go for the jalapeño lime if you want something a little less intense.
Loved the tacos and cocktails in this Mexican hipster spot !! Come early for dinner as it will be packed (we waited 45min to be seated). Worth the wait as also service and atmosphere are superb.
Skirt steak taco literally has a full steak in chunks and is the best value for your money. Mahi mahi taco had the right flavor but its portion was measly. Unfortunately you can't mix and match tacos .
great cocktail list , including the habanero grapefruit margarita , all for reasonable prices. the plato mexicano is a sampling of delicious stuff that can definitely feed two
Barrio Chino is an institution on LES. I love this restaurant which has been there for 20 years! The staff is amazing. Food terrific (guac , drinks, so good) and a favorite spot to hang. Go!
You have to get here early to get a table at this tiny spot! Start with the Habanero Margarita ! We’re big fans of the Enchiladas Verdes and the Chili En Nogada .
Their jalapeño lime margaritas are SPICY ! Al pastor tacos were good. I also tried their beet tacos (special) and it was interesting. Drinks come out very quickly, food takes a bit longer
Guac is great (love the tortilla chips too)! Mole is delicious. I tried the habanero grapefruit marg , which was good but very hot! The plain grapefruit marg hit the spot.
Totally worth the 1.5 hour wait. Grab a beer at Top Hops Beer Shop around the corner on Orchard in the meantime. The Platos Mexicano is some of the most memorable food I've tried in the city .
Enchiladas verdes were pretty damn good, and I had a hefty elderflower margarita to go with my meal. Definitely VERY loud and crowded , but if you can ignore that it's worth the visit.
So don't listen to all the recs and get a grapefruit habanero margarita . It's just heat with no flavor. Get a tamarind margarita if you want something new and good. Al pastor tacos are good too!
I absolutely love their mole it's for sure the best I've had. A huge variety of margaritas for really good prices. Really everything tastes good here. Gets loud ,
Are you a level 7 out of 10 hungry? The steak tacos are out of this world, get those with a side of green rice and multiple margaritas .
Do not duscuss with me about the tacos , just go and order the sopesitos with a mix of the toppings, I promise you won't regret it. I'm seriously curious about the large selection of tequila .
"Chinese Hood", very small and gets crowded in the evenings easily, food is not cookie cutter Mexican. The shrimp dish has really tasty sauce! I miss this place so much!
Margaritas are incredible but beware of the jalapeño and habanero margs if you're sensitive to spice. They are delicious but VERY spicy . Taco plate is a little small but very good.
The cactus tacos are always welcome. You can bring in your own coffee . Beware the sautéed spinach comes with mushrooms .
The spiciest, most delicious margarita award goes to this place. Don't sleep on their chips and salsa or full menu either. But the margs keep me coming back.
Start with the crisp chips and tangy salsa with a grapefruit habanero margarita followed by the Enchiladas or Antojitos. The music is loud and the wait can be long but it’s worth it.
I think it's been 7 years now and this is still my favorite Mexican food spot. Mole is out of this world and the sopa is a hangover cure .
Hole in the wall that it is easily missed but happy I didn't place gets packed after 6 so come early mexican beers and the food was great had 3 different tacos all awesome and guacamole to die for
This place is the best. Huevos a la Mexicana is probably my #1 top favorite meal of all time.
The drinks are excellent. Very authentic . If you're into spice, get the habanero-grapefruit marg . Also tacos , soup and chips are awesome.
The space is small, get there early on a Friday and you won't have to wait. Get the enchiladas de Mole !! Best mole I've ever had!
Beyond in love with this place. Grapefruit Margaritas with brown sugar lined rim are a MUST-try. Come early and save a seat at the bar or at table, this place has LONG waits .
Really delicious mexican spot. Kitchen open late . Stop by 10 PM and on - no reservations . Try the Grapefruit Habanero Margarita !! 🔥
One of my favorite Mexican places in nyc. Everything is good, particularly the enchiladas Verdes .
Yep. The Habanero Grapefruit Margarita is one of my favorite spicy cocktails in the city . The mole kicks ass also.
Barbacoa is to die for here! I highly recommend it and of course the habanero margaritas . And if your order a shot of tequila , ask for the sangrita!!
The server might try to warn you that the habanero grapefruit margarita is really spicy but if you like spice it's very much tolerable, so don't be afraid
The cazuela de mariscos is hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. Pair that with a jalapeño margarita and you'll not only go home happy but you'll be craving more.
The cazuela de mariscos is hands down one of the best things I've ever eaten. Order that and a jalapeño margarita and you'll not only go home happy but you'll be craving more.
The Queso Torta is pretty delicious. The Ciabatta bread is done really well .

One of my favorite places for margaritas in the city . If you like spicy , you have to try the habanero grapefruit marg .
Drunken shrimp is tasty, as well as the seafood soup entree. Their food is great, wonderful flavors. Prepare to wait a long time, drink a habanero infused grapefruit margarita . :-)
I take back my previous tip about the habanero grapefruit margarita . It's really spicy . Be careful.
Amazing margaritas , the lime mixer is made in house. Makes all the difference!
The calamari taco is to die for! And if your here for brunch , get ready for huevos and steak fiesta in your belly. Order mechelada as your drink-- who needs protein shake for breakfast ?!?
Barrio Chino is a neighborhood gem . Excellent food, great drinks. A little bit of DF on the LES.
Loved this place! Young and fun… the perfect final destination for late night eats after a night out perusing the plethora of nearby watering holes. Check what else we said and our review. Read more
It's truly hard to find good Mexican food in NYC. This place doesn't only delivers good food but great tunes as well .
Super cool place with great margaritas . Get the habanero grapefruit if you like a challenge 🌶️
Best spicy margarita in the city ! It's usually a long line but there are great bars around to get drinks at while you wait...and it's worth the wait!
Everything was spot on! Pork tacos , mole , and shrimp were all worth coming back for
Amazing margaritas and if you order the mango salad with steak you get a huge portion if steak and its cooked to perfection!
The cocktails , entree platter (to share) and lamb with tortillas were all fantastic. Worth the price.
Long wait , okay-ish food—there are a lot of better restaurants in the area to check out 🌮 So specifics: Taking lengua off the menu , al pastor was dry, side of pickles was weird, and waited an hour.
Good Mexican food with a large selection of margaritas . Order the enchiladas moles and if you think you can handle heat - the habanero grapefruit margarita !
carnita tacos are amazing, also get the rice, beans and pico de gallo side! - Masha Murakhovsky
Cozy spot in LES. Get all the tacos (hanger steak, chicken, fish), guacamole with pomegranate, and ask the bartender to make you a custom drink. - Zach Hamed
Love the food in general, but prosecco oyster happy hour are the BEST! - Leitha Matz
