Easy walk to convention center , great restaurants and 6th street . Firm beds (not my preference). Hotel is very clean with pkeasant and courteous staff .

I was in Austin for a convention at the convention center , and the location couldn't be better. The rooms were clean , and the staff was helpful. There's free wifi , and a Starbucks downstairs.

Ohad

Starbucks coffee sux. Find a cafe called The Hideout on Congress between 5th and 6th. Good coffee , good free wifi , good atmosphere. Enjoy.

I've only been there for the free shuttle to the Marriott South complex, I wish I could stay there, a little bit too rich for my budget

Todd Binion

Book this hotel for SXSW interactive. Perfect location! Great staff and rooms are nice.

Steven Doyle

The lobby between Starbucks and Champions has booths / tv / power and free wifi . For those killing time before airport trips - it's an oasis !

Robert Schantz

I love the new trendy lobby handouts that the Marriott hotels are installing. Makes it more enjoyable than hanging in your room.

Karen Mock

The suites are nice, right around the corner from the convention center and comfortable .

Jason Buffington

Nicer than most CY's (even other renovated) -- and great location! If you can't find a room, there is a Residence Inn adjacent to it.

Jean Mathison McCarthy

Great location for 6th Street fun- close to all the fun, music and atmosphere!

Yuval Zukerman

While parts of the rooms are renovated, the bathrooms are a throwback to the ‘80s. Not cheap and with so many other options even from the Marriott family, I’d skip.

Christina Hood

If you are coming to Austin for a Convention , this is a great place to stay! Walk across the street and there you are!

Stacey McVey

The wifi is reported to be spotty however I have found it to be fine. Service is great. Only bad thing is the lousy food and service at champions so skip it and walk a block to better grub

Ohad

Check O. Henry's house just around the corner. Oh, and don't mess with the squirrel on the small tree , he's mean bastard.

Paul Drew

great location, terrific service , free wifi , starbucks! the breakfast buffet is superb with Texas shaped wafles.

Jaime Wojdowski

The wifi was amazing on the tenth floor...I've never been able to upload videos that fast in a hotel !

Chris Wilson

Sleep on the bed in the room. It's more comfortable .

Adria Richards

Best place to grab a full, hot breakfast during SXSW

Janna

Awesomely close to sixth street. The lobby gets hilarious around 2.

Aaron Bloom

Lots of TVs for sporting events

Theo Hollerbach

Convenient No great views from your room

Paul Jacobs

To log in to wifi , use web form and pick a random room no. Enter a name and you will be granted access

Aimee A.

Get a corner room if you can. Slightly bigger rooms and windows on 2 sides!

Chris Bailey

Seriously impressed with the level of service here.

Rose Swansong

Hey Marriott :: What's with the crappy pillows and cheap sandpaper toilet paper? Or the tiny tv with burnt in images? Time for some upgrades!

Todd Osmulski

I was on the 10th floor in the mid of the bldg. No issues at all with wifi there. Nice rooms! Very clean bathrooms . TVs & TV service a bit outdated.

Marc Schulz

Nice rooms. Friendly service and reasonably priced. I recommend this hotel .

Tiffany Coppock

Now waiting on car ($58 for 1 night stay.) they say 10 minutes. It's been 28 so far... Disappointed.

Darin Inda

Hope your room doesn't face the north. Otherwise you have to deal with 6th St. noise till all hours of the morning.

Belstephen JeDai

The wifi was fine in all the parts of the building I was in.

Jaysyn Longoria

Decent rooms, decent price but like others have mentioned the wifi is in dire need of work. Get that together and you've got a frequent visitor here.

Tiffany Coppock

Very disappointing. Had no hot water which meant ice cold shower last night and this morning. (It's around freezing outside). After complaining they gave me a$29 credit.

Lisa Carter

You can't access the internet on your phone. :( and horrible reception.
