Makapu‘u Lighthouse

Always a great stop here- especially if you love lighthouses - requires a short hike and then whoala! Beautiful views abound

Best sunrise hike in Oahu. Go there super early to time about a 20-25 minute walk to catch the sunrise. Not a lot of people on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Popular paved trail . Just be warned, it's really easy to get sunburn and windburn on this hike . Also, go early -- parking is a pain towards noon.

Come early by 12 pm is packed. Saw a lot of parents with regular strollers and kids. Hike is around 1.30 to get to the top. No place to potty. Great view !!!!!

Great hike , not difficult but it is up hill the whole way. Bring plenty of water especially if its hot and don't forget your sneakers and camera .

There's a short trail that leads to the lighthouse . The view is amazing!

Fantastic trail ! Great for young & old. Breathtaking views of South & East shores from Sandy Beach to Waimanalo.Free parking , hike to Makapuu Lookouts to view whales . Don't leave valuables in car!

Freshly paved trail . Fairly easy walk. Kind of busy.

You can't even go to the actual light house. A waste of walking. I can see the lighthouse from the road . No need to hike around a mountain .

The hike up isn't too bad. Bring water and sunblock , especially if you go in summer. It gets windy at the top.

Best time of year to visit is the winter. A great place to whale watch. Never rainy but always windy .

Don't forget to bring water - and be sure to stop on the way and go off the road on the side trails . Some great views !

Survived this with a crappy stroller , not one of those expensive BOBs. Wear sunblock and probably a hat. Brought snacks for the top. No place to potty.
