Come at an off-peak hour to relax and enjoy the atmosphere! The coffee is too good not to spend a while with it. Loved the chorizo and scallion scramble. A DC fave!

Without question one of THE BEST all day breakfast (and every other food!) spots in DC. Spacious with a full bar and amazing food.

Lovely place! Had a super yummy dinner (ahi tuna sandwich ), so gourmet! Another time, I ordered food to go and they got my order wrong, so they treated me with a great cappuccino . Service & food rock.

Nice place for breakfast with the family before running around. The coffee is great and the scrambles are delicious. Throw in some bacon and balance it out with fresh fruit . Comfortable too.

Best brunch in woodley park ! For lower wait times, ya gotta arrive before 11am or after 2pm. Otherwise expect to wait at least 40mins. Great coffee and tea !

Great for families. Closeby Omni Shoreham. The patio and greenhouse are both great seating options. Oh, animal crackers with drip coffee !

The breakfast fare is good. I had an Open City Omelette , which was excellent. The pancakes are good and large, and the sides are substantial.

Multigrain chocolate chip pancakes are a delight and so are the animal crackers they serve with your coffee .

Ask to be in Richard's section AKA the Crazy Uncle. He was great with the kids, great with menu suggestions and provided wonderful service! Try the OC Royale for a good variety.

Service was GREAT (a rarity in DC). We got a Cortado and a Cuban Coffee and neither were made properly. Food was great, although my tofu scramble was not an actual tofu scramble , still great flavor.

My favorite place ev-ah! Everything is good. The Burgers , the hand cut chips , breakfast -- everything. Just make sure you go back and try something different the next time.

Excellent vibe ...especially for breakfast . Although if you're looking for fruit , yogurt & granola , you'll be frustrated guys - they only sell it as separate sides, not a combo.

They have rolled out a new menu here, falling more in line with their sister kitchens, The Coupe, and The Diner . Open City now has a hash brown bowl too!

Made my vegan tofu with egg . I complained and they remade it but I wouldn't trust this place with vegan orders. Shame because they have vegan items clearly marked on the menu. Decent coffee though.

Its coffee shop food, although good quality and good portions. Good neighborhood restaurant for breakfast or brunch . Not a place I would frequent for dinner or for a night out.

YAS! The food is sooooo good, drinks as well . Not your cheapest brunch but definitely one of the most delicious.

The Open City burger is a winner. Topped with melted aged white cheddar and thick cut, smoky bacon , it's served on a squishy, sesame-seeded potato bun . It's so choice.

Order the green iced tea - it has JUST A HINT of pineapple . ;-)

Epic gluten free Mac n cheese . Amazing bacon and artichoke dip . And if you're feeling really hungry - the OC royale will help you out.

Have breakfast here weekly when on business travel. Great coffee , good breakfast select . Been for lunch and dinner too, good then as well . Burger special with beer is favorite.

and you must have the Croque madame ! If you love coffee , this is also a great alternative to Starbucks...love my Bucks but still this is a fun local place for Brunch !

Quality keeps going down. Must be one of few brunch places in the city that charges to refill coffee ...walk a few blocks and find a better place in adams morgan or dupont.

Huevos Rancheros was super delicious. French toast was just ok, but the pancakes had a great texture.

I always like my meal here…you can get breakfast late if you want. The service is usually timely…food comes out quick…lots a variety on the weekly specials

Try the tofu scramble . Much better than the normal tofu and turmeric you see other places. The tahini makes it creamy. Best I've ever had.

Check this out if you are in the area! They have a wide assortment of food (burgers , pizza , breakfast , & other stuff). It was a favorite hangout when I lived in DC. Runs about $8 to $10 as I recall.

OMG, the carbonara pizza was freaking amazing. Have them poach the eggs - they were perfect!

Vegan tostadas were absolutely delicious. Stuffed French toast was on point.
