Dumplings in Clear Sour were good too. Other good things to have here is their Yam Balls, Duck Noodles Soup and Chicken Biscuits .
Their Wantan Mee is good. Loved the springy egg noodles and they were generous with the sauces. Char Siew could have been better though.
Definitely must try the duck noodles !!!! The soup is awesomesauce. It's the kind to drink on a rainy day. You can feel the heat of the soup in your throat but it doesn't burn. And try everything else
Follow them on Facebook! So cool that such an old "traditional" establishment is embracing new media :D Many "modern" eateries aren't on social media yet.
Their Local Coffee was awesome. Highly recommended.
Service and waiting time is long but you can scout around for some local products and snacks while waiting. You pay for meal after dining. Packed place on holidays.
People who travel back roads to Ipoh will stop here . They are famous for their duck noodles dry or soupy. Tbh, the standard dropped since branching out. You can buy snacks like chicken biscuits etc
Expect long waits for the famous duck noodles (up to 30 mins) during holidays. It's worth it if you haven't tried - available in dry or soup versions
Still serving very good duck noodle . Despite what others say. It is still full all the time for many many years!!!
In addition to its famous duck noodles , Pun Chun is also famous for its big wanton & fresh & tasty Yam Cake !
Here is where you get the authentic Duck Noodle . Herbal soup is robust and tasty. Afternoon can get fried Wu Kok . Best in Bidor!
Duck stewed noodles and wan ton Mee must try. Must buy Sak Kei mah as well . This stall has been here for 70+ yrs.
Wan tan mee still ok, porks confirm lose 99 to 亨記's whatever pork , barlie water no barlie taste only water, duck soup or duck thigh mee is a must try at here.
Try out the restaurant at the back row from this. Huge & cheap .
The famous duck noodle is really awesome! The soup does taste great instead of oily taste. Must try! Besides, the famous Bidor "Kai Zai Peng" should be bought as the souvenirs!
Herbal duck noodle below average. Cost around rm16 per bowl. Soup boiled with longan, ginger chunk, goji berry etc but without any herbalish taste at all. Duck is fried then boiled, texture was tough
Dayum! ???????? Duck drumstick wantan noodle is a must order!
If you feel the duck noodles is overrated, try the mixed rice dishes. Limited but tasty choices, especially the char siew and siew cheong
Duck noodle is great, I would recommend the dry noodle with the duck soup separated.
The wantan is pretty delicious nonetheless the soup is bland. RM6.60 per bowl comes with 5 pieces of wantan .
The duck leg noodle is the signature. Wantons are sizeable
Pet friendly - outdoor seating . There were lots of flies though outside. Food was ok. There’s biscuits and stuff to buy for souvenir.
Loving the herbal soup ! Large piece of duck meat too ????
Have to wait very long before the table cleaner attend to you. But the wu kok make every second you're here worth it. :)
Today even worst. No taste at all.We ordered wan tan mee n today no char siew .I feel like tis shop becomes black shop coz 3 plates of wan tan mee without char siew costs RM20.10.More expensive than KL!
Wu kok is a must-try! Very generous portion of yam !
Motorists traveling north to south and vice versa sometimes take a detour into Bidor for their duck noodle fix. Its famous, tried it a couple of times. My opinion; its overrated.
Herbal duck soup and noodles just amazing and so delicious
Have to try all its signature dishes ! River prawn glass noodle soup !
Famous for their duck thigh noodles (鸭腿面), tastes very authentic & herbal. Wu Kok also superbly delicious, though slightly pricey . Slow service as situation is always busy and messy.
The duck noodles quality dropped and getting more and more pricey . RM9 now.
What's so good about this place.....you have to wait & wait...and you will get snobbish response from the staff ....one place that I will never ever wants to visit....
The noodle here really drop quality. I've been here recently for few times and still same the taste not so good as previous n sometimes the noodle a bit dry.
Just a hype. What's so special about the water boiled duck which taste quite blend in the soup ? That being said, noodles were cooked quite well . Char Siew and siu yuk were soggy and blend. Pure hype.
Overrated on the duck drumstick noodle . Noodle is a bit hard and soup isn't strong with herb ingredients. It's overpriced at rm10.80 per bowl.
Quality has dropped to the point that there's no point coming here...
Duck noodle (soup base) is good. Wantan noodle was tasteless, but the wantan was awesome. Lots of ajinomoto in soup though...wu kok overrated. Service slow but staff were polite.
duck soup very nice. the metal mug they use to boil the soup is so drak in color. seems like never wash for many years.
Wan Tan Mee 's every wantan has a big prawn inside but the Char Siew taste so so only. Go for the Wu Kok at the same time.
Legendary pit-stop. These guys make the simple (wan-tan, sui-kow & char-siew, amongst others) superlative. Aunties are friendly if you show up when things aren't crazy.
Wantan is not bad though. RM6 per bowl, comes with 6 wantan ...
Must try - Pun Chun's big wanton !
duck noodle ...superbly delicious!! a must in to-do list when going up north!
Stds are in decline. Wu kok and char siew are still good, but noodles and duck are (at best) avg.
Texture of the noodle is not up to my liking
If you have cute kids, have them say hello to the elderly matriarch of the house.
Very nice food! Especially the duck soup wanton Mee
I like the wantan mee here, the char siew , wantan n mee are good!! (especially after tasted wantan mee at PG today)
Yummy duck soup
The quality of the yam puff ( woo kok) have dropped over the years
Probably the best wantan mee in Bidor. The noodle is cooked until al dente. The pork leg is slightly sweet in thick dark soy. The best of all is the wantan, a mix of pork and prawn, so flavourful. - Andrew Choong
They are Night Market (Saturday night) near to the leaning tower. - Azmir Dan
