Such a great mystery and spectacle. Would love to live there! Go if just for the wonder and intricate beauty (and to marvel at how long it must have taken!)
This place is insane. Go to be awed over the millions of shells lining the cavernous tunnels . No once knows who created it or why it exists. £3.50 for entry.
104 feet of underground tunnel lined by millions of shells in intricate patterns. Seems to be some debate over whether it dates from medieval times or 19th century, but either way: bizarre and unique
Fascinating place. Short visit but very different. Worth a look.
I really liked it in here and it totally wasnt what I expected. Hard to explain, totally worth a visit.
Hidden gem . Must visit
Good for a short visit. Very unique and mysterious ????????
Wow - so surprised at this place! Really beautiful...
So random and quintessentially British!
Wonderfull place with nice shop.
Fascinating and unique grotto, but a lot of the information seems to be speculation and trying to create a sense of mystique around its origins, as opposed to anything actually known about the grotto.
After visiting the Grotto, have a coffee in their cafe . Best coffee around!
What a bananas place. Didn't think I'd be as fascinated as I was.
Such a great find! So happy we stumbled across it. Best part was the costume lady but all in all a great 18th century history experience. - Mathew Wilson
Great space - and lovely food - and stunning sunset views from cafe! A treasure in Margate. - Kate Sawbridge
Great restored theme park with lots of historic rides, with more being added. Dodgems was great fun! - Robert Govier
Pulled pork is excellent. As are the shakes. Huge, and well made. My kids loved the snickers one - Chris Reed
