Not-very-large in size, but very imprtnt for local dvlpmnt & very well and professionally staffed unit on the beautifl S-E coast of UK!
Always worth a visit though I gave Tracey Emin 's crappy drawings a miss. I wish they had kept this exhibit from Revealed, based on Turner's supposed last words "the sun is god". Arcadia was great too.
Stunning space with great views out to see. Katie Paterson & JMW Turner exhibition is excellent. Kids encouraged to explore the art .
Beautiful building. On the top floor there is an amazing view of the ocean, spot the Antony Gormley statues in the sea!
Interesting new space for art exhibition in Margate. Entry is free.
Explore this stunning museum designed by Sir David Chipperfield. Enjoy how the light changes in the larger room upstairs as dusk approaches.
I love this museum . It is on the coast side in Margate. Family friendly . Not too much crowded . Enjoyed Jeremy Deller's show.
Such a novelty to enjoy some great contemporary art with the backdrop of the sea. A lovely building, inside and out.
Well run and laid out space. Up to you as to whether you like the artwork, but the facilities and organisation are all well run
Visited the new Turner Contemporary Gallery with my son Callum. Loved it all, but the highlight ironcally was the beautiful round window outlook onto the Thames Estuary. Natural art .
Excellent little gallery , the current Mondrian exhibition is superb. Sadly the rest of Margate doesn't have a lot else to offer
The car park for the Turner is not at the front as expected. Only parking for disabled & RNLI. Go up the road then turn left or there's parking up and right 80p per hour.
The outside is pretty but man is the collection poor. 3 rooms with art is not a museum , sorry!
Big place - small exhibition - but it's the small things in life..
World class exhibitions and magnificent views of the sea.
Great space - and lovely food - and stunning sunset views from cafe ! A treasure in Margate.
The view when you enter is breathtaking
Tracey Emins exhibition is currently showing (as of June 2012) - check it out, like the drawings of a mad person !
Incredible views and nice exhibition space
Enjoy the seascape as well as the art , great views
Great art and brilliant family workshops!
The views from inside when the sun sets are stunning. What a fantastic building
Get the hot chocolate in the café . It's lovely.
Small but perfectly formed art gallery , leading the Margate revival
The view from Turner Contemporary...
I wasnt overly impressed. In a random spot and not much good in the winter.
Amazing and not too long till it opens next spring!
Park in Trinity Square
Well , at least it was free
Out of the box building. Wow inside
Don't bother going, waste of time! Tracy emmins work is not art !
Unbelievably rubbish, taking our time to explore the place we were in and out in 5 minutes. Good job it's free...
Grab some lunch here, such a great menu. I had the haddock goujons, delish! - Shaun Tollerton ⚡️
Best place in Margate. If only it was bigger. Best burger ever -thick beef burger, sausage, bacon, black pudding, brioche bun -what could be better. Falafel with hummus on focaccia was good too. - Fiona Fishtal
Great hot choc! Good burgers and veggie selection! Friendly staff too! Will be back here! - Frankie Buckle
Small but perfectly formed menu of brunch dishes, served on a vintage bus. The coffee is filter only, so pop next door for something a little fancier. Worth booking in advance as gets busy. - Mallory Napolitano
Nice view across to the seafront stores and some really nice little shops along the harbour arm - Greg Smith
RECOMMEND !!best around and never fails to deliver a perfect seaside meal. - Mon
Wow - so surprised at this place! Really beautiful... - Frankie Buckle
