The museum is great. Be sure to set a side some time to grab a coffee downstairs in the museums garden . Amazing views .
Portugal's national gallery housed in 17th century palace built for the Count of Alvor. See the most complete collection of Portuguese works in the world, including the Painéis de São Vicente de Fora.
The Bosch triptych is amazing, I spend most of my time there taking in the amazing details. Besides that, there wasn't really much that impressed me. The garden with sculptures is nice, and has wi-fi.
The National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon is where you'll be able to learn about the development and evolution of Portuguese art starting as early as the Middle Ages to the the 19th centur
I can't say it's the museum I would go back to, but the top floor has good collection of Portuguese art , there is also a good ceramics collection.
Check out the the temp exposition "Rubens , Brueghel, Lorrain - Nordic Landscapes from Prado Museum " till end of March. My favourites were Brueghel's scenes of country side living.
Beautiful and relaxed garden on the river side, free access. With cafeteria and WC. Good for sightseeing and reading a book
a few exhibitions were not available. not so crowded and possibly recommended to those who are into porcelain, religious pictures & portraits and Historic paintings .
The garden and view from it is lovely. They have a student discount without exhibition/ museum only: 3€
Super interesting museum dedicated to « old art ». The collection is quite centered around Christianity and religion.
Rare portuguese paintings and a very pleasent garden , with a stunning view .
Religious dioramas on the first floor to the left after entering should not be missed.
A must, if you like old art . Don't expect to find much information on the web. It is an old fashioned institution, stuck to the idea that culture must be printed on paper.
Houses some spectacular Japanese screens. Free on Sunday until 14:00 hours enjoy.
Great museum , top view from the garden overlooking the Tagus. Nice light healthy food .
Check out the garden !
Gloomy icons and paintings

Imperdivel.
Excelente! Mas tragam tempo para ver.

I went today for the 1st time there. Where it was the 2nd part of the #StrEatFest event. It's really an amazing museum, huge and has a lot of cool stuff to see. - RuteSalvadinho
One of the best collections you will see in the world because you have a few items of almost everything, but everything is first rate; like the Vase from 2000BC that does not have a crack or scratch. - Kavyo Kavyo
A very nice place. Creatives and artist will definitely like it. Every single corner is original and nice. Lots of nice cafes and shops. - Andrei Tarnovski
Pastels are a must. They are sweet but one or two with a cup of coffee are perfect. - Jason Hunt
All kinds of food, wine, beer, great music and the place is very nice all together, kind of crowded though. - Joan Saborío
