Gerbeaud remains one of the best traditional places in Budapest to enjoy pastries and coffee in a fin-de-siecle atmosphere in the center of Budapest.
Try the ice-cream at the Gerbaud Pavillon with home-made cone ! The more flavour you choose the less you pay ;) (1 ball=400HUF, 2=650HUF, 3=850HUF)
It's an awesome place!!!! You're gonna fall in love with it!!! Breakfasts are gorgeous, the interior is amazing, staff if great! And yeah, it's another place with its own history in Budapest!!!!
Back in the days, used to be the favorite sport of well-to-do ladies. Now is full of tourist , it's overpriced but the old decor is nice.
Delicious food and drink, and a gorgeous interior, but very pricey . Try the "bodza lime jeges kávé", an iced coffee flavoured with elderflower and lime .
Brilliant desserts and ice cream . Very pollite ans kind waitresses . The Gerbeaud cake is an absolute must.
The price is totally worth. The craft in the products is unbelievable, the service is high end and the setting itself is jaw-dropping. Cakes are of another world.
Sacher : chocolate sponge with marzipan , filled with homemade apricot jam , encased in Valrhona chocolate frosting . After you've tried it, it can easily happen that every other Sacher will taste worse.
Must try Gerbeaud Tokio and the regular with a cup of coffee .Meşhur Gerbeaud pastasını denemelisiniz, Tokyo da beyaz çikolatalısı ve geleneksel tada yeni bir yorum. Yanında Kahvenizi unutmayın.
One of the trendiest cafes in Budapest ! A great choice for breakfast and coffee or tea ! Excellent choice of sandwiches !
Enjoy your coffee or a nice delicacy in this classical, authentic , old cafe in the center of Budapest.
Lovely atmosphere and the cakes looks great..but unfortunately they served cakes for us despite we told them, that we were allergic to all kinds of nuts !!!!that could cost us a visit to the hospital ..
The most famous patisserie of Budapest since 1858. You may taste over 100 different cakes . My favorite one is traditional Dobos .
A Pest institution, this spacious café has been serving coffee and cakes since 1858. It seats 330 in its theatrically gilded and swagged interior, making it one of the biggest cafés in Europe.
Really nice atmosphere, actually the dobos cake is awesome and cappuccino is good. This place is not really cheap but come on you are in Budapest just go and try it!
Classic and classy Cafe , good food. I reccomend "Oslo Breakfast " (smoked salmon with poached eggs , salmon caviar and brown-grain toast ).
Prices to go are 50% off ???????? Visit if you want to know what Esterházy , Sacher or other traditional cakes should taste like, but for really good desserts go elsewhere
If you are not in a mood for a big (and expensive ) dessert , take a coffee and small (chocolate !) macaroons from the tower.
World class desserts . It’s a little pricy , but it isn’t cheap to pay for the upkeep of such a beautiful cafe . Worth the expense .
Stopped in to warm up and have a coffee on a winter night. Too bad it was so cold because their ice cream sundaes look delicious! Beautiful, iconic space
Gerbeaud’s selection is basically an exhibition of confectionery art . The interior is dominated by three materials – marble , gold, and wood -, and recalls the vibe of early 20th century Budapest.
Since last December their cakes suffer on quality. We were really disappointed with them. It's a beautiful place with lots of history and the price will reflect it. But you feel like in a factory .
Very expensive but must visit anyway. Amazing historical place with beautiful interior .
Pricey but worth the luxury . Get their famous dobos cake and soak up the vibes
So luxurious and so much yummy stuff. Sundaes are just amazing as well as the coffee drinks. Impressively quick service
This historic confectionery offers traditionally divine flavors and prefers high-quality ingredients to artificial additives. Cones are made by hand from almond flour.
The pancake with walnut filling is delicious!
The Dobos Torte is delicious, but maybe not for everyone (despite it is said that Sisi loved it)
This is the GERBAUD Café but to try a piece of Gerbaud cake you must order it as part of the 'Traditional Gerbaud Cake Selection ' only...4450 HUF. The service is also not the best.
All good and fancy but to be honest not worth it for the price. The food is good but nothing too special... you feel the classical vibe so if you like that it might be worth a visit ????
The desserts are very delicious and good quality. Dobos torte a hungrian classic must to try!
The oldest cafe in town from 1858!a 5 star vibe through our hearts !
Yeah, it’s touristy , but Europe is the place to sit in a grand room and have a proper coffee . Indulge.
Most famous coffee shop in Budapest. Nice place to have a coffee but spanish and italian coffee shops just play in another league.
Coffee and sweets in Gerbeaud are MUST in Budapest :). Fabulous place, interior and ambiental music !
One of the oldest cafés in Budapest - it takes you hundread years back with it´s noblesse atmosphere, their desserts take you directly to the heaven, because they´re simply perfect, so coffe does.
Best cakes ever. Highly recomended all the goodies here. The coffee is just purrrrfect! Awsome place...awsome people :)
Best flat white ever!!!! Their bistro has amazing salmon too! I love this place
The food is very good and with high quality. Nice building. But I don't like at all how they rip off tourists . 15%!!!! Service charge is unique in Budapest besides the prices are very high anyway.
delicious desserts but the famous Gerbeaud’s selection of chocolates is too expensive . The waitress was rude and we felt uncomfortable when she was pressing us to order as soon as we arrived
Elegant, old-fashioned - stylish cafe . A little expensive .try cake with peanut abd apricot .
Put it on your must do list! Tiramisu dessert was one of the best I have ever tasted!
Gerbeaud's legacy cake was the best pastry i've ever eaten. The staff sang the birthday song for me.
Very good deserts , most of them good to share but the service can be so bad. From very nice waiters to plain rude ones. A place like this should be careful during recruiting. A smile goes a long way..
One of the most famous cafe in Budapest ( i don't know why?!). The interior is nice( not as nice as the new York cafe ). I don't like the attitude of the waitress and the cakes are not that special..
Its good to go with family or with your partner. Elegant place . Should try the gerbeaud cake .
A bit expensive but worth a try. Tasty coffees and sweets. Still, I haven't understand why they kept serving water in so small glasses. Totally inconvenient.
Delicious desserts and milkshakes . If you have allergies, be careful - I found a small piece of nut (walnut ?) in my chocolate milkshake .
Very delicious desserts but a bit too fancy of an atmosphere for my liking.
Very impressive place (architecture ). Prices are high though, and the waiters don't seem to like working there. Not a must do, but a nice to have done.
Incredible Version of a Gulasch Soup, superb Venison. A true gourmet heaven. - Corina Möller

Excellent service, lovely live music. Chocolate parfait is highly recommended. - András Sevcsik-Zajácz
Wonderful atmosphere with live music. You have to try the goose liver appetizer and the deserts are to die for!!! - Ralitsa Ivanova
In summer, an excellent place to have dinner traditional Hungarian sausaces - Unai
The Chicken Salad is an excellent pick if you just want to have a light meal. Delicious! - João Batista da Silva Jr
