Laid out in 1851 and named in honor of John C. Calhoun . While here, be sure to visit the Massie School and Wesley Monumental Methodist Church , both are located on Calhoun Square. Read more
Designed in 1851. In honor of John C. Calhoun who was a South Carolina statesman + VP for John Quincy Adams & Andrew Jackson. The only square where all of the original historic buildings remain.
If you get caught in the rain and think you're up for a lil' run, hop over to the Whitefeild square a few blocks over, it has a gazebo you can wait out the storm in.
