The building opened in 1921, originally named the Hennepin Theater . The ceiling has a dome with 30,000 squares of aluminum leaf. The auditorium & the lobby are actually two separate structures .
The closest you can get to Broadway in the State . Beautiful venue
Looking for close parking ? Literally across Hennepin is a decently cheap underground parking ramp open to the public. Usually it is cheaper than the surface lot just west of the theatre .
It is the most expensive theatre in the cities but every penny spent is well worth it. We've seen a handful of plays here and enjoyed each of them.
Good view and acoustics . The seats on the back no so comfortable but accessible price. I would only add visitors lockers or storage area to leave the items that they don't let you in.
Get here early to admire the atheistics before your show. Gorgeous architecture and details. Now. Enjoy what you came here to see!
It is a great theatre that supports a wide variety of shows. Lion King in Summer 2016 was exceptional.
Once upon a time, concerts were amazing. 29 years ago, attended concert of David Sanborn.
Great shows, gorgeous chandelier , and you can enjoy drinks in your seat... What's not to love?
Preorder your intermission drinks! They will be waiting for you and you won’t wait in line .
Buy tickets for events at the Orpheum Theatre in person at the State Theatre Box Office in advance of the performance or night of at the Orpheum Theatre and don't pay any Ticketmaster fees.
It was opened in 1921 and they have kept it looking as if it just opened. You'll love going to the Orpheum for plays and musicals .
Saw wicked here, and it was wonderful! And then theatre is gorgeous inside
The staff is very helpful, and the theater itself is beautiful.
Make sure to hang around out front after a show to watch old white people from the suburbs walk directly into traffic!
Beautiful venue . Prepay for drinks and skip the line at intermission .
If you are a student or educator , try rush tickets two hours before. $25 could get great seats

Like the orchestra seats better than the balcony .
The lower seat numbers are closest to center. For instance, seat 1 in section 2 is better than seat 14 in section 1.
Get in line for the ticket lottery . Great shows at an affordable price .
Beautiful venue . Helpful service staff .
The seats in the balcony are amazing!
Being a VIP has its perks - season ticket holders have a special entrance - nice!
There isn't a bad seat on the entire balcony .
Don't go up to the top floor. It's a steep walk down to your seat in heels.
If you are a woman, plan on 25mins to pee. Pregnant woman's nightmare.
Feels like your at Broadway. Motown was a hit.
