Tamales are trending this week and this Mexican joint has some of the most authentic in SF. Come in and enjoy the sweet corn tamales as well as some delicious tacos and chicharrones .

Think of this as less of a place to eat and more of a place to get everything you'll need to do some Mexican cooking of your own. Fresh masa for both tortillas and tamales , salsas , all kinds of cheese

Holy lord, buy whichever flour tortillas are still warm (the ones made with butter are my fave). Also the burritos are bomb here (you can get one stuffed with a chile relleno !)

Order the taco dorado (crispy taco ) papas (fried potato ) and sit outside. Yum.

Amazing food. I love that you can buy containers of fresh guacamole , salsa , and ceviche to go. Great chips too!

It's more of a market so don't expect to sit & eat here. Vegetarian burrito is one of the best! Get a few pieces of chicharron too.

More than a grocery store . This place has a great rotisserie chicken and platanos . But also good to cine to buy fresh tortillas and queso fresco

You can buy fresh masa and masa-based products of all kinds, as well as excellent homemade moles and meats.

Get an al pastor taco and haurache. Make sure you photograph , savor, and chew your food before you dig in because it disappears fast!

They have possibly the best carnitas I've had and the chicharron pupusa was phenomenal

The chicharrones "carne y cuero" are amazing and I love the "quesadilla suiza ".

The made-to-order tortas are generous and tasty. Carnitas here is particularly good.

The name is exactly the same. The food is just as good as other Mexican restaurants . Rio Vista has very few places to eat. Give this place a try

if you dont know spanish, ordering may be confusing, but trust me -- everything is made from scratch that day. aldo, if youre not that picky of a vegetarian , there are tons of options.

Don't treat as a taqueria , treat as a market . Amazing cactus tortillas and some of the best refried beans in SF.
