Hard to go wrong at this ice cream spot known for its inventive flavors, but Vietnamese Coffee and Secret Breakfast are two menu staples for a reason. Sundaes are worth the splurge.

So many great flavors! Try Harvey Milk + Honey Graham, Horchata Rose , Pumpkin Nut , and Dark Chocolate Smoked Sea Salt . Even their Tahitian Vanilla is delicious. Basically you can't go wrong.

It tends to open around lunchtime, which has caught me out a number of times. They’ll let you try any of the flavors before you buy. They’re all great but the baseline strawberry is extraordinary.

this place is the bomb - and there's never a line like at Bi-Rite. Worth the out of the way trip to this corner of the Mission. If they have the prosciutto ice cream ....GET IT.

Either the darling or the dud of the Mission, depending on who you ask. Pretentious ice cream people will say Bi-Rite has better texture / consistency; non-pretentious will love the funky flavors.

Blue Bottle Vietnamese Coffee is my new favorite. And their vanilla flavor is the best among all vanilla flavors I've ever had in any ice cream .

Wow, the ice cream here is awesome... So creamy and rich. It also means it melts super fast, so get down there now and eat quickly!

If you try two flavors, go with the Secret Breakfast and Malt Chocolate . They don't split a single scoop so just get a double and be happy.

Had the Vietnamese coffee & Harvey Milk and both were so good I find it hard to imagine I would have been disappointed by any of the other flavors

The Secret Breakfast is out of this world. sweet and savory and salty all at once. Amazingly surprising flavor, I should have gotten a bigger scoop!

Make sure to get experimental and try some unusual flavors. The peanut butter curry or salt and pepper are great.

Try the candy cap mushroom ice cream - Yes yes yes yes yes! It's back! Candy cap mushrooms are truly a miracle of nature. (They're the ones that taste like maple syrup !)

They're ferociously inconsistent. One bite is the most amazing thing you've ever had (secret breakfast, lime basil ) to downright amateur (every other sorbet ).

You can't go past the Vietnamese iced coffee ice cream . Or any of the other flavours, for that matter. Or the fact that each scoop is the size of a prize-winning pumpkin .

everyone raves about the secret breakfast but the real mccoy is the sweet summer corn . it's like biting into corn on the cob which sounds wrong but is so right. trust.
