This park is huge! Alot to do in one day! Museums , sculpture gardens , botanical gardens , small Amusement Park , Golf , boat riding , bicycle trails , mini golf ! definitely a place for the whole family
I dare say the most beautiful inner city park I've ever been to. Be sure to so see the dueling oaks, anseman oak and the incredible McDonough oaks. Botanical gardens gorgeous too!
Rent kayaks at the Big Lake and kayak through the little canals . You'll see lots of turtles , birds, and potentially crocodiles that will make you paddle harder than you thought you could ????
Described as 10 times bigger than Central Park , I'm not sure any guest has seen it all. The south side features NOMA, the festival grounds, a free sculpture garden , mini golf and an amusement park .
Great place!!! Mini Golf , Regular Golf , Driving Range, Morning Call, Sculpture Garden , NOMA, Festival Grounds, Storyland , Botanical Gardens , carousel...so much to do! It's GREAT!!!
I was really impressed by two things: the size of the park (like Central Park in NYC) and the park of statues inside!
This park is absolutely amazing. The playground , the sculpture garden , Storyland , all of it. It's really just so incredible. I do wish you didn't have to pay a fee for the Botanical Garden and such.

Beautiful park with plenty of shade to be found under magnificent oaks. Lots of paths for running and biking and rentals of all sorts of people-powered vehicles for land or water
What a wonderful place to go for a walk and to bring children. The sculpture garden was especially impressive. Take the streetcar to get here.
Got time to spare try City Putt to test your mini golf skills or just take a walk around on one of the walking trails .
Walk past the weekend soccer fields through woods Scout Island to post-Katrina projects like this dock, swing and picnic table .

Amazing park ! The new tennis courts on Marconi Drive are brand new and great. Get out and explore this great park ! Oh, and Christian Brothers School in the park : best all-boy school ever.
Sit by the bayou on one of the many benches or stroll by the Botanical garden sculpture area. You won't regret it.
Hire a super bike and tour the park . go to morning call cafe and have summer ice cream , coffee , whatever.
The Couterie Forest on Harrison is a great place for a family hike and to pick blackberries in the spring.

It does not matter what time of year, City Park is amazing! However, be sure not to miss Christmas in the Oaks.

Park behind the Zoo along the river. Perfect for sunbathing, crawfish boils, baseball games and birthday parties. Tip: Closer to the entrance tends to be more college-aged so drive a little further. - Ryan Eugene
