Pappy's is the best place for BBQ in St. Louis! Be prepared to wait at least 20 mins in line , well worth it for the ribs ! The corn and beans are delicious and must have a Fitz's root beer on the side.
Come here early, come here for the lines , come here for the ambiance, but best of all come HERE for some bad ass burnt ends , ribs , slaw and potato salad and BBQ sauce . A must stop while in STL.
Brisquet and pulled pork was awesome! Great smoke flavor and nice menu of opt. Call ahead to see if sold out for the day and prepare for a line . Look at all the famous people who autographed menus
These are the best STL ribs of my life! Probably always going to be a wait, but get there earlier rather than later because they do sell out of items. I also enjoyed the burnt ends and sweet potatoes .
I concur that the ribs are some of the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to well over 100 BBQ places all over Texas, Oklahoma, Memphis and Kansas City . The original sauce is spot-on. Corn is good too
Best ribs I’ve ever had. The crust was like jerky , cooked and flavored perfectly. Sides were just ok, it’s really about the meats here. Burnt ends were so juicy lucky we got one of the last orders.
The real winner here is the pulled pork , also the Voodoo sauce may be my favorite bbq sauce in the world, but there are better ribs and brisket elsewhere. Come before noon on weekends to avoid lines .
It's Pappy's, if you go go early! Seriously the food is out of the world, but they do sell out! Expect to wait a hour in line , but once you order food is quickly served! Ribs are the best ever!
Get a Cardinal Cream Soda by Fitz. Order sweet potato fries (heavenly) and the fried corn on the cob. Eat the burnt ends . It's an amazing place, totally worth the wait. Great staff !
Skip the green beans (especially if you like them stewed with meat). Corn and beans a re great sides. And get the ribs ! Also skip the original bbq sauce ...sweet is like the original sauce you know!
Ribs are fantastic. Been here probably five times and never had a bad meal. Line can be long but it moves very fast and there are always exactly enough seats.
Had pretty high expectations and was told by many, Pappys was the best. Maybe we caught em on an off day. Brisket and burnt ends were pretty dry. Sauce is great. Easily the best sweet potato fries !
Best BBQ in St. Louis. Try everything especially the Burnt Ends and the fried corn on the cob. May have to wait but it is totally worth it. Get there early they can run out of things.
Fries Taste Test: We're split on the sweet sweet-potato fries . The deep-amber fries , with their own natural sugars and coating of brown sugar , provide a great balance to Pappy’s peppery green beans . Read more
Esquire: Routinely voted the best BBQ in town , and its ribs have been recognized as the best in US. I stop by every time I'm in town , and I send anyone passing through in this direction.
The best ribs I've ever has in my life. They are 10)% worth the wait, but make sure you get there before they run out for the day. Have never had a problem during lunch finding them.
Excellent pulled pork : juicy and not overly smokey. Get there early before they start to sellout of ribs and brisket about 90 mins before closing.
Ribs , ribs , ribs ! We've only tried the dry rub so far, and these were as good as it gets. Be prepared to wait in line , but it is well worth it. We'll be back!
Even beef brisket is practically fork-tender. Sides are simple and delicious. Pappy's closes when each day's barbecue sells out, so call ahead if you're headed out late. Read more
Ribs . I can't say more, I'm from Texas and we have great BBQ down there but I'll tell you Pappy's is right there with them. Great place to eat at .
The ribs were amazing and must have. I tried the brisket and burnt ends , which were also delicious. The ribs though! Mmm
Best Bar-B-Que in Saint Louis! Late lunch on a weekday is a great time to go. The lines are gone and you can walk right up to the counter for a little bit of heaven!
Thrillist Top BBQ List: Pappy's sells out faster than its meats cook. Opt for the ribs and underrated burnt ends , and keep a little of Pappy's Original sauce on the side for dipping .
Great BBQ , get there by 11 to avoid the waits. Ribs , burnt ends , and fried corn all standouts.
You come here for the ribs . Period. I’ve yet to find a better rack anywhere. The “bark” they get on their ribs is truly special.
One of STL's best BBQ joints -- make sure to get there early because they will sell out of everything by the time they close.
This place always has a line . IT'S WORTH IT!! And just like the sign on the wall says-it doesn't matter what you get, it's all good! Some of the best BBQ I have ever had.
Try the Pick 2 Turkey/Burnt Ends - Pick 2 Turkey/Burnt Ends - green beans and deep fried corn on the cob. #pappys #24hourfoodgeek the green beans were much better then I remember! (via @Foodspotting)
Ribs are amazing and the burnt ends sandwich is perfect. Great weekday lunch special too. Don't just dump sauce on everything, you'll miss out on perfectly flavored meat.
The ribs are the best in the USA!!!! Omgeezy!! The meat is so flavored by the wood that you don't need the sauce unless you just want to kick up the goodness a notch!!!
Every time you return for a bite of the ribs or any of the other meats smoked over apple or cherry woods, you have that rarest of sensations: It's even better than you remembered.http://bit.ly/130WEfv
Well worth the wait!!! Get the ribs , burnt ends , slaw , sweet potato fries and beans. Service is exceptional too!
Great ribs ! I added 1/4 pound of brisket and it was sliced so thin that most of the meat had dried out by the time it got to me. There was also virtually no smoke ring, unforgivable.
Possibly the best sweet potato fries around. Dark, crispy and thinly cut, dipped in any of the remarkable sauces, turning already terrific fries into mouth-watering goodness. http://bit.ly/1eGtVqK
Ribs were excellent, brisket and burnt ends were great too. The Frito pie was okay and the fried corn was not my favorite.
Great brisket and wonderful service from the employees. Of course there was a line to order but it moved quickly. By the time I went to my table, my order was served! Yum!
I had the Big Ben platter I enjoy the ribs the sweet and spicy barbecue sauce smoke turkey sandwich didn't like the potato salad but the fried corn was a great touch
Some of the best bbq I've ever had. Ribs are a must-try. The long wait in line is definitely worth it.
Burnt ends , pulled chicken , turkey and pulled pork - all delicious!! Very fast service too
RFT 2012 Best of St. Louis Winner - Best Service in a Restaurant- You can smell their BBQ from a block away. Don't let the line scare you! It is amazing how fast it moves! http://bit.ly/PxeWz6
Food was great! The "Adam" Bomb is big enough for 4 grown men! Ribs and pulled pork were great! The fried corn on the cob...to die for. Nice sweet potato fries too!
I'm a Texas boy living in Memphis. The ribs were awesome and worth the wait, but I give the brisket a fail. It was too tough. Fried corn was good too.
The food is fantastic, the service and people were great. Buy some sauce to take home!
Outside of Kansas City , this is as good of barbecue you will find. The regular sauce is very good, the hot and spicy sauce is excellent. I recommend getting the Big Ben .
The best BBQ I've had in my life. Get the ribs , brisket and sweet potato fries
The bbq ribs are so tender they fall off the bone. The sweet bbq sauce is fantastic. They offer good tasting side items too.
The "Big Ben " was the real deal. Ribs , brisket , pork and chicken , 4 sides. Get it
Insanely good BBQ . Anyone who questions that America has a unique culinary culture does not appreciate BBQ .
Get the full rack of ribs with a side of baked beans and potato salad - the absolute best!
Awesome ribs , be sure to get here early though as the line can get huge!

That's quite an experience! The little elevator-capsules are lovely, and the view from the top is spectacular! - Bérenger
The tour is pretty interesting - definitely worth it to see such a large level of production. You get three samples and a token for a full beer at the end. - Sara Taylor
This is the best stadium for baseball in America. The views are great and the seating is comfortable. The all inclusive options are many and well worth the higher ticket cost. - Keith Olmstead
