Pork belly bibimbap , corn kakiage, yaki udon ... You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu! Great atmosphere & super friendly staff . Make a reso!
The pork belly melts in your mouth, the aburi sushi is amazing, and the box let's you try a while bunch of things at once.
Boisterous atmosphere and often a wait. House-made ginger ale features in many of their affordable cocktails . Double ton katsu could feed two diners.
Their signature curry with rice is fantastic. Must give it a try!
Double Tonkatsu lunch set is great value for the dollar ($12.80). Best tonkastsu we ever had!! Mortar & pestle for the white & black sesame to mix personally into your katsu sauce is cute touch!
I can't believe no one is talking about the Katsu Curry they serve during lunch . It's the best one in Vancouver!
Nts: The negitoro battera was not a game changer for me. :(. Love the Ebi mayo , grilled sable fish and fresh deluxe 5 kind sashimi . Asahi Black is rarely in menus at other restaurants too!
Try the Ability Eihire, comes with Asian chilli sauce , great snack with beer ! A must have with Sapporo !
The salmon carpaccio wasn’t on the menu, you should ask for it, but it was sooo good!
Salmon Battera and Chewy MaPo Rice Cake ! Tokyo Ramen , with slow braised oxtail and Kakuni Bibimbap are solid too. Read more
Kakuni bibimbap !!! If u want something awesome and big! Fabulous and super delicious, u'll never regret!
Definitely try the Deluxe Suika Box if it's your first time.
Definitely make a reservation . Be sure to try the lotus root kinpira, corn karaage and hellz chicken if you're into hot stuff!
LOVE suika. Must try their yellowtail carpaccio
The grilled sable fish is super yummy & just melts in your mouth. Also the Real Cassis Orange drink is the best!!!
Must try the negitoro-don set; fantastic!
Matcha creme brûlée is a must have! Guaranteed best dessert available! ????
Oxtail ramen , salmon battera and corn kakkiage - all great choices!
I was underwhelmed in general-- the pork belly bibimbap is actually really good tho. But yea oxtail ramen is a disappointment as is the matcha creme brûlée
Everything is great! Explore and try the whole menu!
Salmon carpaccio , creme brule matcha , agedashi tofu !
For a sashimi tasting, get the 5 kind sushi ( 3 pcs each kind) for $14.80 salmon , tuna , hamachi , shrimp , and scallops .
The kimchi-marinated tomato was really good!
Overpriced "modern" Japanese food . Very limited menu. Warm beer . The atmosphere felt kind like a Japanese version of Earl's. We spent $70 on 2 mains + 2 beers and left the place hungry. Not worth it.
Dynamix steak is the bomb. Good for 4+ ppl.
Order watermelon cider . Unless you have a stomach of steel, don't order hellz chicken . Unless you want hell in your mouth, of course.
Andrew Richardson, chef of CinCin Ristorante + Bar , eats here on his nights off. He loves the Grilled tuna cheek. Read more
Frozen matcha creme brûlée with red bean sauce is sooooo good!
Get the matcha creme brulee !
My favourite Vancouver Izakaya of the moment
They have great drinks here!
Buy the friendly staff a beer ! They'll drink it bottoms up with you! KANPAI!
High quality food though every serve is in a really small portion.
Try the oxtail ramen if they have it on special . Also try the short ribs
Never had a bad dish here.
The lightly smoked tuna tataki is a delicious starter or side dish.
I haven't been to this izakaya , but it is very highly rated.
Corn Kakiage and Pork & Tofu Mochi ! Two great appies! Read more
Try the Hainanese style chicken salad ! AMAZING! also the Negitoro Battera . DELICIOUS!
The cocktails are delicious!!!
Love the decor + service, however the food was mediocre. Hapa and Guu are still my top izakayas in Vancouver.
Try the Bibimbap and Sable fish .
Waltermelon kimchi is the best
The beef short ribs are to die for!!!
Corn karaage ! ????
Bring a gameboy because the wait is looooong on a Friday
Matcha brûlée is killer!
The 5 kind sashimi is killer!! Always fresh
Suika Gin and Tonic . <3
Order Chicken Karrage, it's good.
Go here for a lively and authentic Izakaya experience. Everything from the charcoal grill is amazing. - Johnnie M
Loved the sushi à la carte, decently priced, fresh and creative. Happy hour on Thursdays from 3-6 consists of $10 for a pint of Asahi beer & a plate of gyozas. Cool and crisp ambiance for trendy crowd - Nina Nguyen
One of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver! Such a good variation of options. The service is INCREDIBLE! - Justin Barnes
Cheesecake is amazing! Get the one with strawberries - can't go wrong here and it's great for dates due to jazzy ambience - Arash Narchi
