Its 1.75 miles of paved walkway is excellent for a leisurely stroll, and being less crowded than Waikiki Beach means you can enjoy the beach without being in anyone's way.
A man made peninsula that was built in 1964 on 30 acres of reclaimed shallow reef, it was turned into a public park in 1972. The name was changed to Aina Moana, but the locals still call it Magic Isla
Best time to go is around 10 am on the weekdays (super quiet ). Sandiest place is by the active life guard stands. You won't have to worry about stepping on any coral if you enter the water by them.
Great place to go sit and watch the sunset or just go for a dip . Usually packed, and the parking is a headache. Park at the Ala Moana Center and walk.
Good place to go jogging when you're staying in downtown Waikiki. Also good views of Diamond Head from here.

The Honolulu Marathon will be run on the first Sunday in December that does NOT FALL on December 7. The date mentioned is rather inauspicious being that a majority of the runners are from Japan.

Great beach , coral reef protects from waves. So it is pretty much a swimming pool . Cool for families, boring for surfers unless ready to paddle half a mile pass the rief
There is always a long line of cars leaving right after the sunset . Stay awhile to avoid being stuck in traffic.

It's a great location to watch the Friday night fireworks , and even better if you bring a chair.
Forgot to pack a picnic ? No worries brah, Surf and Snack is open until 4PM for Burgers , Fries , Plate Lunches , Drinks and Ice Cream . Located near the bathrooms and main parking lot .

If all you want to do is get some sun, head towards the dead middle of the drive. There's a lotta rocks in the water, so more often than not, the sand isn't packed with people.
Excellent place to swim , have a picnic , or get some exercise in. Running paths, tennis courts , and lots of open space to have fun.
