The legendary Cork & Bottle wine bar in London’s Leicester Square was founded by the equally legendary Don Hewitson back in 1971.

Bigger than you would think, if you’re in a group you can get one of the cozy private tables. Extensive wine list and quite good food - lover the duck liver pate !
Love this place - haven in midst Leicester Square madness. Great wines and selection of, good snacks , lacking in vegan meals but you could BYO in snacks maybe just maybe
Amazing little place that you will miss if you aren't looking! Surprising since so close to the tourist area, yet lots of locals. Good vintages of many wines , and a few nice private areas as well !
Best little surprise in the West End. The ham and cheese pie is exceeds any reasonable expectation of how delightful a ham and cheese pie might be.
One of our favourite hideaways underneath Leicester square. Great whether for glass of wine at the bar or hanging around for dinner . toilets are a bit smelly though.
Great selection of wine & tasty dishes!!Just bear in mind that since it is a basement wine bar , you may come across some unpleasant visitors ????Staff are amiable though!..
One of the best hidden gems in London. An oasis in the centre of terrible tourist central . For great food and wine head down the spiral staircase just across from vue cinema leicester sq.
Admire the vintage posters and artwork throughout the wine bar . Amazing how quiet and cozy this is given that it's bang in the middle of Leicester Square.
a haven of peace and ample wine selection with the entrance hidden from tourists ... in an otherwise super annoying part of town
One of my favourite wine bars . Although next to Leicester square it's not crowded with tourists
A refreshingly untouristy wine bar in one of the most touristy parts of town . You can book the alcoves - great for groups . And the wine list is superb.
Great Food, wonderful wine , but more than that it is so down to earth. A true oasis of class underneath grotty slot machine Leicester Square.
Best wine bar in London in the city 's worst neighbourhood. Worth braving Leicester Square. Kitsch atmosphere, amazing wine list . Also: cheese !
Nice place, good location, wide range selection of wines and friendly service . Take a sit upstears and watch people coming to Zoo bar :)))
The C&B Hemingway burger is amazing! A mixture of ground beef , pork and lamb , with Thai pickles . It just increases the allure of this hidden gem concealed in plain sight under Leicester Square.
Good selection of food, but place really stands out for its comprehensive selection of wines . Enjoy a glass while sitting in the atmospheric brick alcove , filled with empty champagne bottles .
The Chateau St Michelle Gewurztraminer from Columbia Valley, on the last page of the menu is perfect is you're on a date, looking for something sweet (but neither too sweet nor too dry)
Great hole in the wall wine bar . Next to impossible to find - look for the only awning that's not lit up across from the Vue theater and you'll find it.
Excellent if a bit pricy wine bar near the crowds of Leicester Square. A real haven of good wine and food.
Lovely stop In the middle of tourist central . Perfect for pre dinner or a date!!!
The butternut squash dumplings are heaven - and the duck breast is great. (the wine list is, of course, great)
Butternut squash dumplings were great although not with pumpkin pesto as described (still go for them though)!
Cheese plate and charcuterie ! Terrific wines and a fun atmosphere .
Hidden gem in the middle of touristic epicenter. Lively wine cellar .
Cute wine bar . Wines aren't amazing though.
More food recommendations - the Doset Crab salad and the mushroom tart are also excellent.
The cheese and ham pie is to die for
Some excellent New Zealand wines and sweets on the menu. Pavlova and hokey pokey ice cream FTW
Baked Camembert and wine . Can't go wrong.
Great champagne selection !
Great old-school wine bar with lovely food, try the ham and cheese pie , its legendary. Also sign up for the wine tastings on a Monday night.
The mackerel page is to die for. Avoid the burrata .
Back after a 4-year absence, and nothing has changed. This place remains perfect and constant in the tourist fluff ocean of Leicester Square
Recently changed hands. Good for a quiet last order glass of vino .
Really good cheese and wine ????????????????????????
Don’t turn up if you’re already hammered as there’s a tricky staircase to negotiate to get in...but once you're in it's hopelessly romantic Read more
Lovely place but limited menu
Amazing cheese selection !
A great joint amongst the tourist trash. Great place for a date
Really kitsch little place. Great atmosphere and excellent wines . Always really busy!
The cheese plate is very very generous... Be warned.
Love their hokey pokey honeycomb home made icecream
Cheese and wine
It's quiet
Try the Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay .
Smells like sewage
Increíble el vino , riquísimo!!! Las bolas de queso hmmmm! Increíblemente ricas y las aceitunas !! Hmmmm! La próxima vez vendré a comer aquí!!!

Lots of good wine and their dinner is delish. Perfect date night spot. - Melissa Coleman
Cozy theater, very friendly staff.. most of the seats have a good stage view ???????? - M Aldoss ♏
The gardens have public toilets, illuminated fountains, and excellent outdoor seating. Perfect for people watching or spotting celebrities at Premiers - Dave Marshall
Smart and comfortable, good bars. Better than many of the other tired looking West End theatres. - Bob Smith
