Swiss clock in far north-west corner outside M&M's, chimes for 5 minutes on the hour, at noon, 5,6,7 & 8pm weekdays and 2,3,4pm at weekends, and reveals figures and farm animals as the bells rings.
A historic and famous landmark in London. Lovely place to walk through in the summer, the fountain is a must see. Otherwise, eat your lunch on the wall, or meet friends here in the evenings.
All I can say is stay away from the birds in this place! Since it's a hub for restaurants the birds tend to meet up here waiting for you to put your sandwich down! Plenty to do around here though!
Take a breather and stop here before you continue to Covent Garden or Soho or Regent St. If you are lucky, you may spot some stars on the red carpets on premier nights
Great place to Chill & Enjoy, so many food places here, restaurants , theatre , coffee shops , deserts, cakes & sweets. Shopping is also good here, youths & young generation area, crowded & busy! Enjoy
London’s cultural hub & entertainment epicenter. Home to a number of historical figures, with their statues residing in the gardens . Some of London’s best theatres & cinemas . Lots of restaurants .
The Square is great to visit, but is hyper touristy . Accommodation outside the area is cheaper and exposes a bit more of the real London.
Begin with the venerable discount theatre ticket booth , TKTS, in Leicester Square (tkts.co.uk): try to arrive well before opening time (9am) to get the best choice of shows for the evening.
A visit to London is incomplete without a visit to Leicester Square. Take in the views and the crowds and continue to your next spot like the Gallery . Yup, it's a stop-and-go kinda place.
Went here for the Force Awakens premier , most fun I've had in a long time! Also, Ed's Easy Diner is just round the corner, and that's always a plus!
There is something happening in and around here. Great place to just chill people watching by the fountains during summery nights.
It’s like a mini Times Square in London ... check out the window displays in the Lego store, they’re AMAZING!
The gardens have public toilets , illuminated fountains , and excellent outdoor seating . Perfect for people watching or spotting celebrities at Premiers
Very nice fountain and gardens . The place is the heart of London. Extremely crowded during weekend nights! People from all over the world meet there! :-)
Nice place to hang out with friends, can spot celebrities easily especially if a premier is on. Plenty of cinemas , casino and restaurants around the area.
This area was named after Leicester House, the London mansion home of the Earl of Leicester built in 1635. But by 1800 it was a home of popular entertainment and theatres , and has never looked back.
Chain stores, crowds and blaring lights shouldn’t stop you from checking out the Shakespeare fountain & Charlie Chaplin statue . – Green Guide Editor
DID YOU KNOW that this square got its name from the fountain originally being made of Red Leicester cheese , before being eaten within two days of opening by London's ever-growing plague of rats ? FACT.
Charming and trendy , Leicester Square is up day and night. The various options of bars , nightclubs , cinemas and theaters and the M&M's World store are super cool.
Always something going off, street entertainment or red carpet event . Come here to people watch or enjoy a beer/coffee/ice cream!
Sat in the park area, near fountain and it was quite relaxing + great to people-watch... even tho there were many smokers and lots of noise from the street

One of the must see’s on your bucket-list in London
Overcrowded during evening hours, lot's of cassinos, hobos generally notba friendly enviroment . But nice during day, and you can get some great deals on tickets, but get them only in TKTS.
Ah good old classic Leicester Square love this place, if you want a citylike feeling and an old town one you should really come here!
Great place to just hang with friends, grab a bite, catch a movie or even a red-carpet premier , close to covent garden and soho
Great for people watching , and lots of eateries around the square.
Bustling. Night time or daytime. Gardens are great for people watching . See the big movies at one of the theatres .
One of my favorite spots in London, magic happens here. Theater land is close and lots of good restaurants .
Very active area with lots of cafes and restaurants around it.
Get same day discounted theatre tickets. Arrive before 9AM for best selection. One year this was the only area with places to eat when we flew in on Boxing Day.
Nicely reconstructed, lots of people walking, cinemas .. London's spirit lives there! Defo go to the vue cinema near Piccadilly Circus !
Sometimes, if you're listening, you'll hear a singer that could be the next Frank Sinatra!
Restaurants , cinemas , cafes and other places that would keep you busy all day long.
The Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel is a fabulous hotel here. Right in the middle of it all, with the TKTS Booth just outside the door.
There are a lot of casino , cinemas , restaurants at this place! Very nice place for everything you want to do!
My favouritr spot in London. Come, sit on a bench and wind up ;)
People watching all day long. At Christmas they have little pop up shops in the middle of the square.
There were a bunch of street performers and people in big costumes today. Some people had fun taking pictures with Pikachu.
This and Picadilly Circus are the Times Square of London. A lot of pubs and great spots to eat, very touristy .
Without a doubt, the busiest time here is on a Friday and Saturday night
Great place to hangout 24/7 . Theaters , plays, food, clubs...
Quiet lively place , many movie theaters .. Buy half priced tickets only at the ticket booth on the center of park
Love it! There's ALWAYS something to do, it's a nice and open square, there's always music , ...
Great open area with plenty of entertainment surrounding.
Nice place for people watching and relaxing. Nice place for kids to play too
Upscale area and excellent for walking
Very great area to hang out! Lots of cinemas even an IMAX. Casinos all you want

My favorite area, beautiful location. Close to Leicester square, and several great food stops. - Chelsea Bradley
The peace campaigners are peaceful, but the tourists can be difficult to navigate! - Martin Callan
M&M's of course. The whole experience is great with several floors of goodies. There was even a candy m&m walking around for photos. No entry makes it a great way to spend some time. - Robert Paluszak
Look for the performers in nautical. they have great quality. Also look for small corner cookies seller and taste hot cokkies with marsmellowed hot chocolate! - Y P
